OSU @ BU

PERFECT throw home and somehow we don’t catch it.
Exactly why you bring Daughtery in in a tight game in the late innings. Sylvester has never impressed me as a very good catcher. Very average.

And if it’s true that’s Schubert’s not been healthy since the fall that’s just another example of ooor coaching. DH him and get someone out there that can play the position. DON’T PENALIZE THE TEAM.

In hindsight, Brown absolutely cruised through the 7th and he could've continued on or at least let him start the inning with someone ready if a baserunner got onboard. Watkins looked good in the 9th also so pretty much any combination that didn't involve Davis would have probably been better...

And yes 9688, Gabe hasn't been healthy and has had some tough injury luck all year. Between that and whatever else has gone on, he just hasn't pitched well all season.
Extended Brown is an option…agree to disagree on Davis. I have no problem with using Davis today. I just thought they brought him in too early.

Davis arm isn’t as conditioned as it needs to be. Didn’t have a fall season. Didn’t start throwing til January. Had arm issues mid season..He’s had a rough season. Sucks but it is what it is

The bullpen and defense continues to cost the Cowboys games.

Both were good during the win streak. One would expect them to regress to the mean and it happened today.

That Schubart misplayed fly ball and Culberson not being able to field a routine ground ball (and then stands there allowing the runner to
head for home!) are why this season needs to end for this team. It’s just bad baseball.

The loss only drops the RPI to 51, but now back to .500 in league play. I think you'd have to sweep next week and then win a few in Arlington to get an at-large.

The sad part is that we actually do have a strength now--our starting pitching is phenomenal. Being 12-12 at this point shows how bad everything else is.

Credit to Rob and his work in the portal. 2 years in a row now he has put together a really top end starting pitching staff. His bullpen management and pitch calling can be questionable but the pitching staff has been the bright spot of this team the last few weeks and probably holds the keys to a miracle run in Arlington. Unfortunately the lineup and defense make it unlikely that it'll happen.

How many elbows have been hurt under the wizard’s watch? Does anyone know if they MRI pitcher’s elbows before coming in? I know many elite HS pitchers have previous damage then with increased wear and tear and velocity many UCLs have been torn the past 10 years. I’m just curious.

There's been a few but I don't think it's a crazy amount, not nearly as many as we seem to lose position players every year.
