At the end of the day… the pitching did fine. The offense absolutely stinks and your pre-season big 12 player of the year looks pedestrian.
Agree for the most part. Watkins did a tremendous job, as did all 3 starting pitchers this weekend. Everything you could ask of them. The offense has been pathetic, as usual and fails to give the pitching any sort of cushion whatsoever. And it's hard to pitch with zero margin for error. Schubart has been a complete disappointment. The only frustration with the pitching is Rob continues to use guys who have shown time and time again that they are not good in high leverage situations. I'm no baseball expert but have watched enough to know that Drew Blake was highly likely to give up the lead yet they continue to go to him in these situations that he's failed in many, many times.
