Josh postgame:

"Bodendorf, in my 25 years of coaching, gave one of the top 5 guttiest performances that I've seen."

"there were some AB's in the middle innings that were not to my liking, but we saw their top 3 guys tonight."

(on Jones) "there was a chance there to put your head down, but he stuck with it and showed some growth."

Ben Reiland is redshirting but he’s more of a MIF. Elijah Alexander is a JUCO player that has a couple ABs that came in as a SS but could maybe play third. Braylon brooks is a two way play but his pitching is ahead of his hitting and he’s redshirting. Losing Kyler proctor hurts. Should’ve kept him..having a good year as Austin peay
Yea I think you just have to stick with him until Ritchie or Ortiz can came back (if that ever happens). He's made some incredibly athletic plays this year, but just has to get comfortable with the routine ones.

The athleticism is there to play third no question. He has the yips right now and with no other options, you have to ride it out. Hopefully he can get out of his head and just play ball

There was a ground ball in the middle innings where he had to charge, field the ball in full stride and make a very difficult throw across his body to first. Throw was a little wide but he still made the play for the out.

Didn’t have to think. Just react. Same thing on the 10th inning line drive stab.

Overall great win and performance by Bodendorf. Trying to decide if that was Wizardry to leave him in or just our turn to win won of those.

Pesca starting tonight. Looks like Rob did it again. I (along with several of you) called it when he left Youngerman in way too long last week in his second start of the year when he wasn’t built up. Was totally unnecessary with a big lead. Only thing I can assume is lingering arm soreness, hopefully nothing worse.

he developed a blister later in the game, pitched through it..maybe they’re trying to give him a day? If it is arm soreness…chalk it up to Walton

Apparently they had some military guys parachute in during the pregame. One of the jumpers was injured and is still down in the infield so game is a bit delayed.
