Golesh got left at the altar when he wanted to much out of the Pokes. He may be regretting his choices now or in the near future. Auburn is just another way to say redhead
I wasn't being negative. I was wishing him the best in his next chapterC’mon, Duke and I disagree but surely we don’t have to be negative on the day we won the hiring cycle

We are so lucky with our hire and the fans acceptance of him.Golesh to Auburn and Silverfield to Arkansas. Looks like Arkansas had to drop down their list…HA!
Great job by Chad of locking Morris in. Think it was safe to assume Morris and Golesh were 1a and 1b, but he could probably tell Golesh was playing some games.
I’d say the word slimy would be very descriptive of both his approach and “I’m not a coach for hire” Miles.Spot on.
I think Golesh is a great coach and will do good at Auburn, but it definitely seemed as if he was playing games the whole time. Came across very Les Miles ish to me. I’m glad we got Morris!
Holder hired Coach G.Looking at our head coach hires by Chad since taking over from Holder for Men and Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, Softball and now football, he looks like he is establishing a pretty solid track record of evaluating and locking in talented coaches!
Or you have a system that protects a weakness instead of exploiting it…..Anyone know anything about either line from North Texas? You’ve got to get NFL prospects to even have a chance of success.
100% agree. Gundy effectively gaslit a bunch of Kool-Aid drinkers into believing that, so you'll still hear people throwing that out as the only way to win games.Or you have a system that protects a weakness instead of exploiting it…..
We haven’t exactly been a bastion of NFL linemen success and still won games.
Does it need to get better, absolutely. Wouod
I love NFL lineman on both sides, yep. Is that realistic and the only route to success? No.
You really have a bad case of Gundyitis100% agree. Gundy effectively gaslit a bunch of Kool-Aid drinkers into believing that, so you'll still hear people throwing that out as the only way to win games.
An ICU level of Gundyitis brought a first rate coach to our program. You really have a bad case of Gundyitis
The new coach cured most suffers, but those with severe symptoms still have issues. An ICU level of Gundyitis brought a first rate coach to our program.

Goes both ways, actually. We still have people believing we can't compete with NIL funds, need to establish the run game to have a chance to win any game, need NFL OL to do that, the media is out to get us, etc....The new coach cured most suffers, but those with severe symptoms still have issues.
Weird that the new coach has a team averaging almost 200 rushing yards a game and an OT that is a NFL prospect. I think you have read way too much into comments made through the years.Goes both ways, actually. Hopefully with time and success, the new regime can cure all of our respective ailments.
Fair. I do think people tend to get too polarized on all of this.Weird that the new coach has a team averaging almost 200 rushing yards a game and an OT that is a NFL prospect. I think you have read way too much into comments made through the years.
The reverse of everything you said is also true. You will have people who think you can just put cardboard cutouts out for offensive linemen and scheme around that. That our NIL funds are unlimited and that a one dimentional team can suceed on a consistant basis because it has happened before.
Some where in the middle of these positions lies the real answer.
It will be interesting to see how much leadway all the fans, that raged against Gundy about only winning one conference championship, give the new coach.
