Official - Eric Morris is the new OSU Coach!

Did you watch his interview with Dave? He said this week he plans to get to know the kids on the current roster, and evaluate that roster so they can figure out what they have.

He's literally starting, right now. What else could one expect from him?
You got a link to that interview?

Best thing I heard in that interview was that he chopped cotton growing up in Texas. Me too, except in SW OK.

That tells me he is grounded and has a tremendous work ethic. I think Eric Morris is an excellent choice and perfect fit for OSU. I’m sold.

Here's what I liked.
- He WANTS to live in a small town (not that Stillwater is tiny), and he feels like Stillwater is a great place to raise his kids
- He loves the Big 12
- He enjoys mentoring and getting to know the players
- He doesn't seem to have a chip on his shoulder
- He seems to align great with our fans and admin

Now, we'll see if he can coach us to success, but I really enjoy his overall demeanor and attitude.

An article I read a month or so ago about him said he's invested a considerable amount buying cotton farm ground in Arkansas for his retirement project, so he still has that going currently.

Agree. I too spent lots of hours growing up walking the rows in SW OK and on a tractor. Learned lots of great life lessons from Grandad on the farm.
