NCAA Championship Seeds Announced

If Sparky makes it to the final again, he will have earned it because that is a tough draw. Robideau has a brutal draw as well.

Tough seeds. A lot of our guys face the Penn State guy who is #1 seed in quarters or semifinals.

Spratley at 5 faces NC State guy who beat him last year to win natty last (and beat him this year at national duals) in Quarterfinals, then faces tough guy from Lehigh (who beat Penn State guy last year at nationals). And if he wins those matches must face #1 seed, the Penn State guy.

Forrest faces VT guy who gave him his only close match in semifinals.

Swiderski faces Peen State guy in quarterfinals who is #1 seed.

Robideau faces Larkin, who just beat him at Big 12s, then Duke.

Same situation with Lockett, has to face the guy who just beat him at Big 12, the #1 guy from Penn State (who is a real stud).

With seeds we have, will be hard to get anyone in finals other than Forrest and Vega.

Nice to see the whole roster make it through to the round of 16.
Forrest decisive, Ryder gutsy and pleasantly surprising, doucet playing it safe with the riding time win. Lots of different ways to win, but they did it.

Current team standings at the end of Round 1.

Iowa being down 1 wrestler AND 1 going to consolations, but still ahead in team points hurts us. Penn is going to have to drop multiple wrestlers to consolations next round to give us a chance at this point.
