Plott has said Jersey Robbs name a few times. BT is an option around there also. No other idea than those two currently. I’m sure coaches like 24yo Sr transfers nowadaysWho’s next? Does anybody think we’ll go after a potential 184 pound wrestler?
I'm not sure who coaches are going after, but I believe coaches will be very open. There will be wrestlers who actively seek out a transfer to OSU (Dean Hamiti for example). To me it remains to be seen what the coaches will do in regards to bringing in a transfer when we already have a starter. For example, will they actively bring in a 157lb or heavy? I get the feeling that the coaches are settling for nothing less than a national championship meaning that if you are not top 5 or close, you could get recruited over at any time.Who’s next? I think Doucet would be a good option too. However, Ghadiali from Campbell looks like he could slot in well. High scoring and has some impressive wins.Very early to think about next year. But Ducet looks like an AA as 285 weight class will lose a lot of the top guys (8 of top 10 in Intermat rankings, 9 of top 12). I think Ducet is around top 12 in current class, So should be AA next year. Would be hard to find someone better to transfer in.
At 184 we have Braydon Thompson who was top 10 recruit and Jersey Robb. 6 of the top 10 are seniors. Iowa's redshirt is better (but not coming to OSU) and maybe Penn State has someone. But not sure we can improve.
At 197 we have Merrill. We will see how he does. Thompson or Robb could bump up.
At 174 will have Lockett. I doubt he redshirts. I think he is stud year 1. So top 4 weights should be solid.
165 and 157 are question marks. Some top recuits coming in and Travis coming back. But I could see a transfer.
126 will be Spratley. 133, 141, and 149 have some talent, just how does it sort out. Would be hard to find a transfer in those weights that is upgrade.
