ICE

This isn't really ICE related, but I don't know where else to put it, and I wanted to point out that apparently Canada can be just as petty as us. I also wanted to point out Charley to any country music fans that might not have heard of him. He's top notch.

"The report issued to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada notes that if Crockett had been detained in Canada for the same charges he faced in Virginia, the offense “would be punishable by a term of life imprisonment.”"

I don't necessarily think Canada is being petty by not letting a convicted drug felon into their country.

Actions have consequences, and Crockett's instagram post acknowledged that.

I love his music and am a big supporter. Seen him live multiple times. It is what it is.

Maybe so, I agree actions have consequences, and you know more about the law than I do. I just found it odd since the article said it was for marijuana, and I thought weed was legal in Canada.

Personal consumption/possession of weed is legal in Canada.

Charlie had about five pounds of weed that he admits he was selling out of the back of his car to finance his album. That's quite a bit different.

Charlie has toured Canada early in his career before he was as well known as he is now. I guess it's possible that he's now suffering blowback from Trump's conduct towards Canada because he's an American....even though he definitely isn't a Trump supporter. Even if he is, I wouldn't characterize enforcing your entry laws because of that when you let it slide in the past as "petty". Just my opinion.

Trump lawyers claimed ICE detainee was a criminal with possession of marijuana charges.....the person they claimed that against was just 4 years old

A federal judge called out the Trump administration in a new court order on Tuesday over a claim it made about someone detained in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.

Harmanjot Singh was arrested by ICE officers in December during a routine immigration check-up. He has since filed a motion for a Temporary Restraining Order preventing his deportation from the U.S., which the federal court in the Western District of Louisiana denied on Tuesday.

Buried in the order was a footnote that called out the administration's sloppiness in the case, Politico's Kyle Cheney reported.

"The Respondents did attach a document to their Response purporting to show minor convictions for marijuana possession in 2009," the footnote reads. "The petitioner was four years old at the time, and the Respondent indicated that the document was supplied by ICE and likely presumed to relate to the Petitioner because the individual had the same name, despite differences in birthdate, birthplace, parents' names and immigration status."

"This sloppiness further validates the court's concerns about the procedures utilized by the Respondents depriving people present in the United States of their liberty," it added.

Kristi Noem pulls plane off search for overboard Coast Guardsman to deport migrants

President Donald Trump's pick to lead DHS angered senior Coast Guard officials by prioritizing deportation flights over search-and-rescue operations, and the tensions began just days into her tenure, on Feb. 4, 2025, when a 23-year-old guardsman went overboard into the Pacific Ocean from the cutter Waesche, four current and former officials told NBC News.

"The Coast Guard had surged ships and aircraft to the Pacific to find the Coast Guardsman," NBC reported. "Hours into the search, Noem learned that a Coast Guard C-130 that was supposed to fly detained migrants from California to Texas was among the aircraft over the Pacific looking for the missing Coast Guardsman, and she intervened, according to the two U.S. officials and the Coast Guard official."

"Noem verbally instructed the Acting Commandant of the Coast Guard, Admiral Kevin Lunday, to pull the plane off the search-and-rescue mission so it would not miss the migrant flight as part of the DHS’s so-called Alien Expulsion Operations, according to the two U.S. officials and the Coast Guard official," the report added.

The admiral notified National Command Center, which ordered the C-130 to fly to San Diego while other aircraft and ships continued searching, but the regional Coast Guard command in San Diego scrambled to find two available C-27s to fly the migrants to Texas, which allowed the C-130 to rejoin the search after about an hour.
She is such a human turd.

It’s a constant reminder how this guy went bankrupt owning a casino.

The FBI raided the home of Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Alberto Carvalho and LAUSD headquarters after Carvalho clashed with the Trump administration over immigration enforcement efforts at LA schools.

CBP agents are attempting to return unaccompanied migrant children — including some protected by a federal court order — to their home countries before they can meet with an attorney or appear before an immigration judge, according to a court filing. https://abcnews.link/mSYQd3i
