MAGA border czar wants 'database' of ICE protesters to ruin their lives​

President Donald Trump's border security adviser Tom Homan told Fox News's Laura Ingraham on Thursday evening that he wants the administration to build a "database" of any protesters who get arrested for obstructing Immigration and Customs Enforcement, so he can broadcast their names and faces to employers, schools, and everyone else he hopes might punish them for it.

"One thing I'm pushing for right now, Laura, we're going to create a database," said Homan. "The people who are arrested for interference, impeding, and assault, we're going to make them famous. We're going to put their face on TV. We're going to let their employers and their neighborhoods and their schools know who these people are. Because as you say, these people, a lot of them say they're taking time off work to protest. I bet you a lot of them are calling in sick. I bet you a lot of those employers don't know what they're doing. We're going to make sure everybody knows who they are."




"They want to broadcast that ICE officer who was nearly killed all over the internet? We're going to broadcast every one of these people we arrest," Homan added.

A general strike is probably the most effective. One doesn't even need a majority of the population to participate. The ripple effects of 3.5% of the population participating could be effective. All one needs is enough pressure for one (or more) of the pillars of support to stop supporing trump. If it is costly enough and unpopular enough it will happen.

The more violence the trump administration perpetrates on otherwise peaceful people will keep shrinking his base of support. Only 24% of americans thinks that Ross' killing of Renee Good was justified. 24% is not enough to keep power long term when push comes to shove.

A lot of the strategies implemented in Poland in the Solidarity movement that brought down the USSR could be used here.

I think a general strike is the only way. Maybe that combined with about 5% of the population refusing to pay federal taxes. The problem is that people can barely afford to survive while working 40+ hours per week right now. Asking hourly workers to forgo paychecks is tough.

I keep hearing from the older generation how protesting worked in bringing troops home from Vietnam. That's because people in charge listened and cared. Our admin does neither of those.

I know people who have quit witholding taxes in their paychecks and will pay them all at once at the end of the year. The thought that this is depriving the US govt of interest on that money the who year long.

Its a hassle, but might deserve another look.
