ICE

Thank you for sharing, and yikes.
The hour is later than one thinks. Here is more info on palantir from a gamer's youtube channel. It is pretty detailed on how far their reach (and their propaganda) goes:
The irony of a surveillance company not wanting to be recorded for an interview is striking. These people have no ideological underpinnings other than might = right. They are the biggest threat in our country, and yes, a bigger threat than trump. Trump is an old frail man and will be dead in a few years or less and his threat will pass. Palantir is just getting started.

A general strike is probably the most effective. One doesn't even need a majority of the population to participate. The ripple effects of 3.5% of the population participating could be effective. All one needs is enough pressure for one (or more) of the pillars of support to stop supporing trump. If it is costly enough and unpopular enough it will happen.

The more violence the trump administration perpetrates on otherwise peaceful people will keep shrinking his base of support. Only 24% of americans thinks that Ross' killing of Renee Good was justified. 24% is not enough to keep power long term when push comes to shove.

A lot of the strategies implemented in Poland in the Solidarity movement that brought down the USSR could be used here.
Don't get me wrong either I don't want violence . It's just hard for me to see how this ends peacefully. I really do hope your ideas work.

I should be clear: There is going to be violence. We don't have control over trump's goons and they are determined to use violence. The key will be us having discipline in our response and not giving in to the urge to respond with violence. If we respond with violence, their chance of winning goes way up. They have control over most government institutions, including the military right now. Nonviolence is not just the ethical and moral choice, its the most pragmatic too.

Every time they use violence, it is an opportunity for visibility and making it so people cannot turn away from what is really going on. Lets not oblige them and give them the same thing.

St. Cloud Minnesota was MAGA country in 2024 and now it has a massive grassroots ICE Watch operation. Their heavy handed tactics cause a visceral reaction in many people. Like this guy who is a first time protester(NSFW LANGUAGE):

They are not my ideas. They are the ideas of people who have been researching all resistance movements from the last 125 years or so. Some techniques work, some don't. And no resistance movement has failed with more than 5% of the population actively involved in them long term.

need to use Portland's technique...?!

a bruise technically is internal bleeding.

Fed: Alright MF'er... you just had to make this hard on you and everyone else. Boys, tie him to the chair. [Grabs large pipe] Time to create an internal bleed by way of contusion. This is going to hurt immediately and last a couple weeks. [WHACK!!!] There! Now we have an internal bleed.

I've never lived through any issues that I felt met the criteria for general resistance, but it seems the insidious nature by which they are implementing these things will make it harder to get the groundswell of support. Maybe that is how it always is, I don't know. The historical ones seem so obvious. This feels harder, but maybe that is just because it is now and not a history story.

Its harder in some ways and easier in others. You can post something online and 500 people can show up in an hour, as we see in MN.

Its always been a struggle, it is just that the struggle looks different in 2026 than it did in the 1960s or in 1926.
