Jeffries calls Noem a liar: 'No evidence' to justify Minneapolis ICE shooting​


House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday slammed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem over the fatal shooting of a woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis.

“There’s no evidence that has been presented to justify the shooting of an unarmed woman in Minneapolis. The so-called Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has zero credibility,” Jeffries told The Hill’s sister network NewsNation.


“She’s a stone-cold liar. We’ve got to make sure that the rogue ICE agent who pulled the trigger resulting in the death of an American citizen is criminally investigated to the full extent of the law,” he added.

Brother, I have never stated or thought this is the way to go. I abhor everything that is happening from both sides. I was simply curious how long ago pf had lost faith in this world. I don't think 2 years is "a long time".

- If you park in the middle of the street and block law enforcement, they have a right to detain you for an infraction. If it’s done on purpose, it’s a crime.
- If they are legally detaining you , and you try to get away, you have now committed a crime.
- If an officer is in front of your vehicle and you drive forward while he/she is in front of you, it can be considered clear hostile act and an assault with a deadly weapon, because a vehicle has the potential to cause serious bodily injury or death
- Which can lead to a law enforcement officer using deadly force to prevent you from hitting him or potentially killing anyone else.

If you don’t want to risk that possibility, for your safety and the safety of the officer…

The only people parked in the middle of the street were ICE...

Go back to the beginning of the videos. She appears to trying to turn left with a parked and unattended ICE SUV blocking the street to the right. She waves traffic by to let them pass before she pulls out, even letting an ICE SUV through and this truck, rather than go around her like she's trying to let them do, decides to stop and get out then approach and apprehend her for some reason (which they don't appear to have any authority to do). So far there has been no reason shared for why they even approached her car to begin with.
 
Whether she tried to run him over, or not, she didn't deserve to die. She wasn't, clearly because she was turning the wheel. He could have taken 1 second and slowly stepped out of the way. He could have turned around and moonwalked out of the way. Then, you get back in your pavement princess truck and pursue. Arrest her, go through due process.

If ICE wasn't there, would she be dead? If those 2 thugs hadn't jumped out of their truck, when they could have just driven around, would she be dead?

If you're sitting here trying to justify a person being killed in that manner, you're a bad person. Take a freaking step back, stop toeing the line, and think about it for a second. She's DEAD. Because of the actions of a few garbage, thug, sacks of crap human beings. I can't believe anybody ever tries to justify law enforcement executing American citizens. That should be the absolute last resort, not a FAFO should shrug.

I sincerely hope the thug who shot her gets what he deserves. Whatever that may be.

Murder is STILL a state crime.

Even when allegedly committed by federal LEO.

There may be additional federal crimes, but Minnesota has investigative jurisdiction for that shooting.

This is outrageous.

What is your fixation with a simple line from a song?! For the record it’s been much longer than 2 years, not sure where u got that…just make $h!t up like your leader?!
 
DHS policy also clearly states that you are not supposed to shoot at a moving vehicle, unless there's a clear and imminent threat. Which there wasn't, since he shot through the side window after side stepping.

This story is horrific, and just the tip of the iceberg with these government sanctioned thugs. We're still holding people in concentration camps where there have been reports of torture, rape, and death. When are we going to say it's enough?

If you still support ICE, you are a grade A, level 1 POS. Full stop. Own it like you owned "deplorable".

Edit: And ICE are not cops. I'm pretty sure she was under no obligation whatsoever to follow their "orders". They had no justification in screaming at her to get out or trying to rip her out of her car. IMO, if she had run that guy over it would have been self defense.

My initial knee-jerk reaction to this is that I'd be getting preservation orders from a magistrate followed very quickly with a whole host of search warrant. Do you want your entire BWC system seized? Because that's how you get your entire system seized.

Like I said though, this is a knee jerk reaction and me posting on a message board. That would be a decision that would take an extraordinary set of big balls by a large number of people because it's just inviting possibly armed conflict between state and federal agencies.

To be honest, I'm not sure I have that big of a set......especially less than a year from retirement.

Didn't one ICE tell her to get the hell out of there, while another ICE told her to get out of the car?
