Who cares? I won't be in immigration court. This doesn't affect me.
Sure, until they start to use the tactic in other courts. Then, because you said to the wrong person that you aren't a fan of X or Y policy, suddenly you find yourself in court for "tax evasion" or "threatening the president" and a nameless, faceless lawyer presents completely falsified evidence, and you are convicted. Off you go to the for-profit prison that ran out of imigrants and will pay you a dollar a day (and put you in solitary if not) for your work.
Sure, that isn't happening to non-immigrants, yet. And you will change your mind about this government if it does. But, don't you think when opposition is jailed, that might be a little too late? And, you might be thinking, "They'd never do that." LOOK at the tactics. Do they lie?-clearly yes. Do they make false claims?- clearly yes. Do they anonymize their henchmen?-clearly yes. Do they have a ruthless person who is gaining more and more power over our governmental check and balances?-clearly yes.
Please, someone give me real evidence that I am wrong.
