What benefit to our country is there to remove Temporary Protected Status from people who have been in this country under TPS for decades? They’ve created homes and paid taxes and Social Security. They are our neighbors our family members and friends. But when the clock strikes midnight the day TPS is removed they are here illegally. What timeline have we created?
Do not ever profess faith, or pro family or pro life if you think removing TPS without some other safety nets for these families is instituted. Just say you’re a racist.
And just like most everything else we still haven’t fixed the immigration problem. We’ve militarized it and made it a part of the penal system. Which over time will cost more money.Remember when it was brought up earlier that ICE was given the authority to conduct raids in churches, hospitals, and schools, and some people said saying that would happen was baseless fearmongering? Yeah, I remember that too.
It costs $150k to deport one person. There are a lot of people making a ton of money. And just like most everything else we still haven’t fixed the immigration problem. We’ve militarized it and made it a part of the penal system. Which over time will cost more money.

Remember this when people say that we don't have enough money for education or for single payer healthcare.
The Guardian reported on it, I'd trust them over DHS currently.DHS says this story is not true.
Sadly, at any other time in my life, if our government had made such a statement I would have immediately thought that it was a hoax and the governemnt is telling the truth.
With our current government, and the way the press release is written, I really don't know.

MILLER: If you look at photos of the Empire State Building being built, you don’t see any illegal aliens. When you look at the photos of the NASA control room during the moon landing, you don’t see any illegal aliens.
Americans built, sustained, and powered this country for two and half centuries.
