ICE

Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been arrested and is being processed for "expedited removal" from the U.S. due to alleged ties to the Sinaloa Cartel, the Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday.

Diego Luna (the footballer)may want to watch out. They may mis-identify one of his tattoos and ship him out.

Thanks to the budget that was juat passed, ICE now has a bigger budget than the FBI and the Federal Department of Corrections. The latter has the most incarcerated people in the world.

Him, Pedro Pascal, Oscar Issac

The way Trump's brain is, he might start deporting all brown people who are part of the rebellion.

If he goes after Adria Arjona someone needs to remind him that she's from Puerto Rico (not that it would matter to him.)

He'll start tweeting/truthing/x-ing* that PR needs to become our 53rd state

You are correct. I used an extremely poor choice of phrase. I wouldn’t consider it bigoted, but many would. Also, I would never use that phrase in conversation and should not here.

As I have stated, both my dad and FIL are immigrants. Both my wife and I still have multiple aunts and uncles (mostly in South America), plus tons of cousins, that have never immigrated to the US. That certainly adds to my push against illegal immigration and those that do not follow protocols…but that does not give me license to use a term that many may find offensive.

You were right to call me out. I was wrong to use.

I would like to verify that information. I do not have any desire to aggravate you or other members. Yes, I can search for the information and I will if you choose not to let me have a pass to the information. If you can make it easier not just for me but everyone on the site I will preemptively applaud.

The quote from Grateful pike did not come through with my post.
Just as a heads up, you can also mention people by doing the @ symbol and then their username @Heart Smiles . To answer your question, I got the suggestion from an AOC tweet.

The data is correct, and actually worse.

The FBI 2025 budget is $11.3 Billion (https://www.fbi.gov/news/speeches-a...quest-for-the-federal-bureau-of-investigation)

The Department of Corrections/Federal Bureau of prisons budget for 2025 is $8.3 Billion (https://www.forbes.com/sites/walter...-bureau-of-prisons-to-cut-halfway-house-time/)

ICE's new budget is $37.5 Billion a year for the next 4 years. This is larger than the yearly total military expenditures of all but 15 countries: (https://www.newsweek.com/immigration-ice-bill-trump-2093456)

Buckle up, a ton of bad stuff is going to happen. This is the budget and power one does when they are about to ethnically cleanse a population.

Texas man born on U.S. Army base deported to Jamaica, despite never having been there before.

"However, it’s unclear if Thomas’ father was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth in Germany. His mother was reportedly a Kenyan citizen at the time of his birth. Still, his birth wasn’t registered in Germany at a U.S. Consulate."

"Court documents show Thomas has no citizenship and was apparently under a previous deportation order. Immigration authorities and DHS did not respond to requests for information on his case.

It’s also unclear exactly when he was first ordered to leave the country. Court records from 2015 show a case brought against Thomas by the Department of Justice made it to the Supreme Court, which upheld a deportation order by the U.S. Court of Appeals, according to KTLA.

The high court denied a petition from Thomas asking for a review of the deportation order, noting his prior criminal history and saying in part, “his father did not meet the physical presence requirement of the statute in force at the time of Thomas’s birth.”

Seems there is more to this story that wasn't made clear in the social media post headline. This one, at least on its surface based upon available information, seems fairly proper to me.

Yeah I found it interesting that he has no official citizenship to ANY country

That is wild..I would assume his family should have received directions or support to file their new child as a German citizen from the US military hospital where he was born.

Technically Germany should give him citizenship I would think based on the info

I've seen several cases like this where the person being deported has no official country. I find it fascinating that this type thing still happens and there are people with no official country of birth

I wonder if the US immigration system provided him an opportunity to reach out to Germany before being deported?
