Pretty sure JD, like myself, just wants the process to play out the same regardless of name. There's one set of laws that applies to everyone... there should be one process to apply it, regardless of name, political, economic or otherwise position. Naive but it's how the system is supposed to work. I'm happy to see it working that way regardless of who pushes it.
It's now up to judge and jury to finish and see where it ends.

I have explicitly said no man is above the law. Reasonable suspicion to investigate. Probable cause to charge. Beyond a reasonable doubt to convict. Equal justice under the law for everyone regardless of name, position, or power. Do the crime, do the time. Trump deserved his conviction and any others he gets. If the prosecution establishes that Biden committed these crimes beyond a reasonable doubt, so does he.

The false comparison of degree of criminality between the two is what’s maddening to me. I am positive there are tens of thousands of persons who used drugs and bought a gun. Otherwise how in the hell do we have so many in the largest gun and drug use country in the world. Felonious Trump 34 times over so far, and the Biden impeachment is stupid IMO, and Hunter’s primarily being drug through the mud to feed the MAGAstanies. If either are guilty make them pay, just don’t pretend the degree doesn’t matter.
He was indicated by the DoJ...this isn't a State Matter, he should face every scrutiny possible in court and accept and deal with the consequences.

I’m not pretending Hunter didn’t buy a gun while addicted to drugs. I’m positive far too many guns have been purchased that same way. Just lie on the form. I’m also sure that few are ever charged and indicted. Keep things in perspective. That’s all.

I don't want to compare... and don't think the two should be. Two different people, breaking different laws for different reasons and in different circumstances.
Yes, he is in the spotlight because of who his father is and is suffering because of it, that is sad. But that doesn't mean that crimes he committed should be swept aside. Im glad he seems to be doing better and hope that he can continue with his sobriety.
