Houston at OSU

That was so ridiculous by Houston, they made complete fools of themselves. It almost makes you wonder if there had been a disagreement earlier in the week about the scheduling of the series and whether to play a DH on Friday or play earlier on Saturday and Houston was making a point by being so ridiculous today. Outside of that, hard to understand why their coach was such a moron in that inning unless he's just an idiot in general.

Josh:

"the weirdness is not going to overshadow how proud I am of our team."

"we played ball really good today"

"super greatful for those that came to the game today"

"modern baseball lends itself to curfews, and travel times and we just handled ourselves the best we could."

You are alone. If it was 5-4 it would be different. This is gutless and clearly against the sprit of good competiton.
Don't see that score makes a difference. Gutless and against the spirit of good competition strikes me funny for baseball which is far from the tea and crumpet crowd of tennis and golf, a sport where tit for tat is steep in its history. But that is just me, and I am good with the tit for tat part of the game.

Guess that's just you then. All sports have an expectation of good competition. Trying to avoid a loss when you've been beaten badly by stalling and faking dropping your bat is exactly what gutless is.

Guts would have been trying to get on base and erasing an 8 run defecit when you have 40 minutes to do so.

The guy made a fool of himself and he still lost 9-1.

Yep that is just me, I don't expect good or fair competition or treatment from anyone in anything, quite the opposite, and I am rarely surprised by my fellow human beings.
