Steve Lutz was not even remotely close to being Chad's first, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc, choice. Steve Alford was on the cusp of being hired, but negotiations fell apart.
You and many others have severe problems with taking one post as the gospel, such as my post about Alford being offered the job. He most certainly received an offer to be new HC, but that fell apart.
Do people understand the process of finding a HC? Just because an offer was made doesn't mean that that offer would be accepted. In Affords case, he was offered, which I then made a post about. Wouldn't you know it.. things quickly changed by the hour during the process of interviewing potential HC's. Once I learned that Steve Alford was no longer a candidate, I posted exactly that.
Go look at the date of my posts regarding Alford. My post was several days before Chad began to zero-in on Lutz. And the only reason Lutz came into the picture? Because Chad made a total of at least 25 calls to various potential candidates. In other words, Lutz was the bottom of the barrel choice. Chad gave offers left to right. They all wanted insane contracts.. contracts that were just utterly ridiculous. In other words, they didn't want the job unless they became obscenely wealthy. Those same people stayed at their current position that are far less "prestigious" than OSU.
There were reasons why SMU and OSU were the only two programs left without a HC far longer than everyone else who needed a new HC. If you'd like to know those reasons, whem football begins, message me and I'll invite you to booster suits during home games and we'll discuss it with my booster friends and my sources. Only reason I occupy those suites is because of Bitcoin. Seven figures worth of Bitcoins that I found on an old laptop that I had and totally forgot about. I almost threw that laptop away. I don't say that to brag. I say that because that's how I have booster friends and sources who are 99% correct about all the happenings.
Y'all can continue with this BS of attacking me, I don't give a damn. I've told the truth. It's not my fault you do not have the capability of understanding how the hiring process works and how so very quickly things change during that process.
Side note to all: If any of you have spare time to donate and help delivering meals, clothes,.etc, to the impoverished children, senior citizens,. veterans, etc, around a 50 mile radius of Tulsa, please send me a message and we'd love to have all the help we can get. I'm in the process of expanding to include rural towns within a 100 mile radius of Tulsa by year's end.
I'm also in the process of purchasing a location in Stillwater that will have free food, clothes, school supplies, etc, which should be open within next three months. If anyone lives in Stillwater and would be willing to help those less fortunate, please message me and we'll go from there
