We’re heading towards 2 consecutive winless conference seasons and now what, 1-12 against our last FBS opponents? It’s already at that point.
What you’re expressing is simply fear of the unknown, while genuflecting that keeping some semblance of the status quo will somehow be better.

I want him gone. I don’t give a shit about the unknown, what we know is worse. What I do give a shit about is another Travis Ford/Mike Boynton situation where we spend the next 10-15 years floundering in the one sport that must pay the bills. Basically going back to who we were in the 90’s-early 2000’s.
The replacement has to be a grand slam. Has to energize everything about Oklahoma State. It’s a mission critical hire. Which was my one and only point but somehow you’ve tied it to unrelated bullshit with some imaginary hang up with Mike Gundy.

The next round of conference realignment may very well be under this next coach's tenure so it's absolutely critical to get this hire right and the course corrected pronto. We can't afford to be irrelevant when the next realignment occurs.
Correct Captain Obvious, nobody disagrees that it needs to be a great hire. It would be a great problem to have TF’s initial success with this hire and other schools wanting him.

Agreed, and that’s why the page needs turned ASAP in terms of our intention to make changes and the best targets identified and pursued.

I’m still going to maintain that a GM position is more important than coach.
GM job takes ownership of roster building and NIL operations. You get a commercial guy for NIL and then elite recruiting coordinator to both sit under the GM.
Coach won’t make a difference if we can’t attract players.

True. I’ve heard plenty of discussion the last two years about this exact thing.
You also hear about Private Equity, but I don’t know where any of that’s going.
You took the time and effort to click “post reply” Typed a completely unrelated reply to my post. Asserted that I’m bowing down to Gundy and am afraid to lose him. Neither of which are true.

Who becomes the primary motivator(s) in a GM set up? We seem to be missing that woefully right now. Form the head coach on down.
