He does, at least in practice. The o-line wasn’t great for stretches last year, which led to Bowman struggling to throw with planted feet. It really wasn’t a speed of the ball getting to the receiver though. When you don’t have as high of a trajectory on your passes and you’re trying to layer a pass over backers across the middle or a DB outside the numbers, you have to rely on velocity. The problem is that if you’re not absolutely perfect with the pass, it’s really easy to overthrow the receiver.
