Sure thing birry
Calling me a "goon" is middle school levels of ignorance. Its sad, petty, and completely off-base. I'm not sure why you think that's remotely accurate or applicable in this discussion. To be clear; you're offended, because I find your "blame it on the refs" opinion to be lazy and boring. If you don't want zzz reactions, stop posting lazy, boring opinions.

According to my OU coworkers, they are banking on their defense (if anything). They're worried we'll be able to run on them, and have zero confidence in their offense currently.

If Ollie gets going, we'll win by 2 scores.
I don't buy this. The defense will not be able to stop our run. They might have some success early, but we will wear them down in the second half. Their best bet on defense is stopping the pass and making us one dimensional.

They need their offense to get rolling which I absolutely think they can do. Our secondary is suspect. They could light us up in the passing game and use that to open up the run. Specifically with Gabriel running. If their offense can't get into a rhythm I think it is game over for the sooners. Ollie will wear them down in the 3rd and 4th. If it is low scoring it could be a close game through the early 3rd, but that is when we will pull away.

As someone else mentioned previously - its critical that we don't get behind early, because it could preclude the use of Ollie as much in the second half if we're airing it out, down 2-3 scores.

Right back at you, birry.

The 3-3-5 is really designed to defend against spread offenses. But we have been bringing more defenders into the box to defend against more run heavy offenses lately. It will be interesting to see how Nardo adjusts to OU’s offense. My biggest concerns are with passes to the sidelines and Gabriel gashing us on a few runs. We tend to give up 2-3 long runs per game that could be a big factor in a game like this—especially on critical plays.
Just be on the lookout for that damned jet sweep

Anyone catch Trace Ford on the Sports Animal this morning?
The whole Trace Ford saga is tiring imo. He has like single digit tackles this season and 0 sacks. You would think he was in the heisman conversation by the way he and his mom speak. He was dealt with unlucky injuries at OSU and wanted a fresh start, but the moment you transfer you’re no longer a cowboy as far as I am concerned. And if you transfer to the in state rival…. don’t expect any pleasantries from anyone wearing orange to put it mildly.

I've seen enough from our defense to know that we're not shutting their offense down. We'll probably have to score in the high 30s or low 40s to win.

MT, you’re going to have to go back to your orangepower.com ways man. Starting to enjoy your posts here, we can’t have that! Lol.
Don't worry you'll have reason to hate me soon enough. If OU figures out they have a really good pass game and osu's pass D is swiss cheese it'll be over. osu has given up 17 pass touchdowns so they are ripe for the picking!

What makes you think our coaches haven't made adjustments this week to shore up those deficiencies?

I caught it in the car dropping the kids off. To be honest, he’s kinda weirdly immature for a 5th year senior. They caught him brushing his teeth during the interview…Ha. He was whining about the coaches not caring that he left. Said some coaches still text him but “definitely not all”. Why would the coaching staff be concerned about a guy on another team when they have 100 on their own to look after? He just comes off as a guy that needs attention and coddling.

Strangely they did not ask him about Bean blowing by him and leaving him in the dust on that 40 yard TD run.
