That is a bit harsh.
We beat them soundly in every statistical category except the turnovers were 20-6. We had four players at 40 minutes. Nothing wrong with playing for the last shot on the road against a top 10 team.
Maybe. Probably the men's struggles are bleeding over. It's a problem, though. Her teams have been bad in the fourth quarter in both of her seasons.
Yes, they're playing a lot of minutes. But much like then men, they turn the ball over and take bad shots in the final minutes, over and over, and its usually the veterans.
And yes, I will always disagree with taking the last shot when you're behind especially when you run off 25 seconds or so. You take the first good shot you have, and if you miss it, you can foul and still have time to make a game tying three. Instead it ended in an airball on a fade away from Gusters, of all people. That's not good. Especially after the Cincy debacle.
I'm not saying replace her, no doubt she has been dealt a bad hand this year. But Barancyk or however you spell it was dealt a similar hand and her teams play with much more discipline and are just getting better and better while the Cowgirls are headed to a losing season and riding a 6 game losing streak.
They do have some winnable games coming up, maybe they can get it turned around.
