I thought this was a joke and I looked up his contract. Now I feel sad. How the hell did we not learn our lesson after Travis Ford. We might not be able to afford to fire him even after next year.

It's crazy. Had Boone and Holder not been best friends, Boone would've never donated anywhere near as much as he did. Boone said so himself. And Boone once said "had I known I was going to donate this much, I would've torn down the entire stadium and built a new one.. much better than this stadium - a state of the art stadium that would've been unrivalled for many years to come."
And then the basketball situation. It bewilders me.. Holder gave the football program every chance to be as successful as possible. I have no idea what Holder was thinking when he gave Boynton that contract. Maybe it was because Brad left immediately after the conclusion or basketball season and he was determined not to have another scenario like Brad. Even if that was the case, Holder gave Boynton an idiotic contact that screws OSU's basketball program. Because of that disaster of a contract, we're stuck with Boynton for at least two more years.
The current class is rated 9th nationally. I really hope that class completely changes the trajectory of the basketball program

And I know this question isn't related to theme of this thread. But does anyone know what happened to Orangepower forum? I'm guessing the entire database has been deleted. Had they had told people that they were no longer interested in keeping that forum alive, I would've bought the forum regardless of the cost. Hopefully this forum eventually has more active members ASAP
Short version: domain lapsed and it went to auction. We actually had somebody in the AV put a bid for (I think) ~$15k, but it sold for just a bit more. I think because it was down for so long, and then discord came along, a lot of people gave up on a new forum.
I am fairly certain this forum was created using a backup from OP, though. It's going to take some time to get this back up. Sucks because the old domain is not even really being used, it just redirects to a scammy gambling site.

From my understanding, the original owner of the website sold it to a new owner. The new owner did not renew the domain because the renewal request was sent to an old email address. The domain was sold at auction and someone turned it into a gambling site.
The first paragraph is true, but the second is not. There was no backup, which is why this site was created instead.
