Cowboys vs. Gardner-Webb (3 game series)

What happened to our on screen scoreboard? We used to show bases, pitch count, etc.
Somebody else probably knows for certain but at one point I’d read something to the fact that if softball and baseball are on at the same time our “studio” can only use an “expanded” score graphic for one game.

Not sure the technological reasons

After today, this team will be 11-4. And the RPI will change, but G-Webb is currently the top 20 so this series win will actually be a positive.

This team appears to have all of the tools: powerful offense, good starters, closer, (need middle relief as always), pretty good defense. But they four losses have been complete embarassments.

So, is this one of Josh's better teams in a while? Somehow I'm a little optimistic.

Pitching staff needs to get healthy. Several pitchers have been out due to sore arms that haven’t made an appearance. The freshman need to continue to grow up like Jennings, burns, Winslow and pearcy.

I also like we’ve been stealing more bases this year than previous years

The post game show did not sound optimistic regarding Barrett. Losing your Friday night guy (after losing Watkins in the fall) would be a real gut punch. I agree with what you've said, the team has shown some things to be excited about early but losing Barrett is going to be tough to overcome.

This team with all these talented freshman has better depth then usual, so I am optimistic and see this team having the chemistry and talent to make a run for Omaha. With Barrett gone for the year, I see Wech moving into the starting rotation and Wentworth moving into pitching more than playing in RF. Shull needs to be playing in RF in my opinion. We have very good infield defense with Thompson at SS, Meola at 3B, Smithwick at Catcher, Bowen at 2B, and Brueggemann at 1B.
We will only get better as season progresses and these talented freshman get more experience, in my opinion.
