Conference Realignment - What's next?

Baylor and Kansas play the SEC in the first round, really need them to win. Houston, Tech, ISU and BYU all have potential second round games against the SEC. If we go 0-fer in those games then I guess we can't complain. The Big 12 has had some great regular seasons only to underperform in the tourney. Maybe we can flip that script since we had a less than anticipated regular season.

Also can anyone explain to me why they couldn't just swap Arizona and Maryland? Doesn't it make more sense to send Maryland east and Arizona west? My guess is they spent too much time trying to justify their UT and NC picks to pay much attention to simple things like that.

There’s so many layers to how they set the bracket and choose locations. I agree though with the MD & AZ comment.

I’ve read complaints about how early the SEC teams May face each other too, which is nonsense. When you get nearly 4 teams in every region, including teams that won 33% of their conference games, just shut up.

Overall, I do think that there’s probably as much intrigue with this field as I can recall in years. I love having no prohibited favorite and a bracket where there are 10ish teams that really can win it all.
