I'm getting old (47).

I feel like the best way to play in diamond sports when batters work counts, frustrate pitchers, foul off pitches and get free passes. Then when they get the mistake pitch, they hammer it.

I like basketball where the offense uses lots of cuts, sets screens, and makes the defense really work to guard them, always looking to attack the rim and get layups first.

Our teams don't really play that way: instead hacking away at the plate and shooting tons of threes (which is the new thing to do in those sports) Two of ours best coaches on campus, Kenny and Jacie, have had lots of success this way.

To me, it leads to inconsistency which we see even on our best teams (see Cowgirl basketball and softball), but I just have to learn to accept it I guess.
