Bill Self Allegedly Retiring

Daughter and grandkids in DFW, has a house there already.

Good for him. Walk away on your own terms.
It's becoming a little bit of an unseen epidemic across all sports. More and more coaches are leaving the profession and pursuing other things because its just not worth the effort anymore with all the changes. There was the wrestling coach at Wisconsin that left to become the VP of a roofing company. Its even worse at the high school level.

Of course he doesn’t have the adidas advantage anymore, just like Saban lost his financial advantage

The team would be a lot different if Peterson had more Dog, less Cat in him.

He’s the highest profile big NIL deal guy to be a complete bust and it’s all about his choice to put himself above his team. Reminds me of when guys started skipping bowl games, only that was a meaningless exhibition, not the entire season.

Either way, couldn’t happen to a better fanbase.

He averaged over 20 points a game overall and in the conference, so I would hardly call him a bust.

All the great coaches I grew up watching are almost all gone now. When I was younger, I never really understood why older people seemed so disconnected from the next generation. At 41, I get it. It’s not that younger people are worse—it’s that the world you knew, the one that shaped you, slowly fades and gets replaced by something unfamiliar.

Time moves way too fast. I’d give anything to see my mom and my brother again. Instead, I find myself looking up at the night sky, searching the stars for even the faintest sign of a smile. I'd do anything.
