Big 12 Tournament

Classic Walton staff. And most years it’s been only one consistent starter. So glad he is finally retiring.
I know hindsight is 20/20 but bringing in Watkins might’ve not been the best move. Don’t get me wrong( he’s been solid as a starter, however he gives up the long ball too much. He wasn’t the best matchup against ballinger, who had 15 HRs before that AB.

Walton pushed all the right buttons yesterday against Baylor and all the wrong ones today. Watkins has been HR prone and although Davis has had a few good outings lately he's not been consistently good in late inning situations throughout his career. The moment at times gets too big for him. In fairness to Gabe, defense let him down some in the 9th also. As many have said, today's game was pretty much a 9 inning glimpse at why the team is 28-23.....

As of the most recent projections, OSU is above the last four out, so it would take a lot of upsets to bump them out.

UTSA is a lock for a bid but they've fallen to the loser's bracket of the American. If they don't come back to win, there's a bubble team knocked out.

Here's a projection for the most fun regional I could possibly imagine:

Dallas Regional

  1. Dallas Baptist* (16)
  2. Oklahoma
  3. Oklahoma State
  4. Oral Roberts*

Kansas greatest year ever about to be run ruled in the semifinals of big 12 tournament. For comparison, defunct Iowa state has more cws appearances than ku. Hope they enjoyed their World Series type celebration last night.
