Bedlam basketball at Paycom

Both the men’s and women’s coaches and the AD should have stuck to the no bedlam stance. Now they are paying for it. Nothing but negative publicity today for OSU athletics with a bunch of “Bedlam Sweep” headlines, tweets, etc. There’s very little gain from it. If you win they’d just ignore it and talk CFP. Also got to think those NIL donors are probably a little extra agitated with these losses as well.

This is crazy to me. So we just don't play OU anymore because we all don't like losing to them?

We're 5-5 in our last 10 in MBB. Tons of talent is coming in. Cancelling a series that attracts around 10K fans in December because we played poorly is pretty weak

There’s just far more downside to OSU playing this game. There’s other games that could be played without that. We could play Arkansas in Tulsa and draw the same or bigger crowd.

We missed several high-percentage scoring opportunities and have significant room for improvement. We should've easily won this game.. too many missed shots there were basically given to us

Side note: Boynton has energized Michigan. He recruited nearly the entire roster himself, and the head coach has cited his recruiting ability as the key reason for hiring

Edit: Michigan is ranked 2nd.

We're doing ok without him.

Recruiting and coaching are two different skills. Boynton could recruit but was poor at building a roster with the skills for the well rounded team needed for success. In addition he coaching skills were not up to par. That said by all known metrics to me he is a good man.

What's your point?

I hate it. I feel like every time this program gets some momentum to potentially start filling up GIA again and we lay an egg in a bigger game.

Long season...lots of ball to play...but very frustrating. We play in the best league in the country by far. You have to beat a middle of the road SEC team.

Really hope Parsah can take the next few games to get healthy for conference play because we have no post offense without him and we got dominated in the interior on D. Disappointed in the international guys behind him they did not rise to the occasion.

Also, today stung even harder than usual because of the atrocious athletic products we have had to watch the last few years in football and MBB. Felt like the cowboy fans needed this win. But if this team can play defense and be less selfish on offense they can be a very good team. Playing in the Big 12 isn’t easy though so if they don’t figure it out it will be tough sledding.
