Very erratic offensive play again. Looked like OU eliminated a lot of our tendencies. Doubled at the right time. Cut off passing lanes. Great zone defense. Their speed surprised me. We could never get that burst past them. With a week off I thought we would’ve been the better scouted team but hats off to them. They played with more energy all night and hit some big 3s.

Our problem is we can’t find an identity. One game it’s 5 the next 1 the. Next 22 the next 9. Guys need to hit a lay up first to gain confidence then start stepping back. Eddie use to tell the guys every step back you cut off your % to make by at least 5%. So why the hell you jacking up 3s when your best bet is to attack the rim.

They already lost to 3 nobody popcorn state teams. They are dog water which doesn’t say much for us

Or, play better, beat them, and be 10-0 and have the most momentum you've had in 20'seasons.

This was a huge missed opportunity but the real games that matter are in January and February.

I appreciate the honestly from Coach, but what exactly are we doing about it? That’s all we have heard all year is how the defense has to improve.

Get the damn football pads on and teach these guys how to move their arms around on the perimeter and square up with your hands straight up around the basket.

Start getting into the opponents head and stop draining a shot and celebrating. Make it miserable to play us like Eddie Sutton drilled into his teams

There have been chances too…..we just can’t get over that hump.

Last year we were 7-3 at this point. The game with OU was over by half time. The improvement is good. We are 9-1. I think we are maybe a bubble team IF we improve. After the last couple of years, I will take this one. We have some really tough losses in the next couple of months. Don’t jump out of any window!! Lutz might actually be halfway decent.

Yes, but he's got to take a bite out of that sandwich as well. He's hired to motivate these players to play defense, and if they aren't getting it done, he's not getting it done.

Nebraska just beat #13 Illinois to improve to 11-0 on the season. Think they are pretty salty club this year.

Losing parsah gave us Lefty and Vuk as defensive bigs. Being down Jennings and Parsah killed us. Lefty and Vuk are slow twitch. The problem with this team is guys play defense if their offense gets hot. Miller and Roy and IColeman struggled so their defense tails off. Need to get them early layups and confidence. Petty easy recipe to solve instead of letting them jack up 20 3 s and hit 4 that’s 16 empty possessions

Not saying it was the only reason we lost, but not having Fallah reeeeally hurt us in this game. With him out we really had no low post offense, plus I can't remember the last time we missed so many layups.
