Bedlam baseball

No Chief on the radio broadcast again tonight? Interesting with it being a home game after he missed the weekend trip to Arizona. Hope all is OK with him.

I don’t understand why you don’t at least sit Jones in a midweek game or make him the DH. If nothing else give him a chance to not play and clear his mind from what has clearly become a mental issue.
Sitting one game isn’t going to fix that problem. A LOT of ground balls and throws, not in game situations is the only hope he can ever play the position.

He posted on X over the weekend a picture of his son’s baseball team winning a tournament, have no idea why he isn’t on the call tonight.

I don’t disagree with you, just trying to understand why the coach continues to play someone with an extraordinary amount of errors.

This should be telling in of itself. While Josh was getting interviewed Nolan Schubert made a somewhat difficult routine play and he said “nice catch” like he was surprised he made the catch…. That’s an indictment on his defensive ability.

I agree with you. There is no excuse whatsoever for Josh to keep trotting him out there. He has options that don’t hurt offensively and would improve the defense substantially. That throw was 10ft wide of Bruggeman. Hardly in the same area code.

Good hustle by Sylvester.

Great play by Sylvester and he just about got him.

Could not agree more. Was thinking the exact same thing when I heard it.

Has any of the opposing freshmen pitchers thrown wild pitches after walking a batter tonight? I get they are freshmen, and maybe I see it because the team is playing so poorly right now; but, it seems OSU’s freshmen pitching really struggles with just the basics.

Another of Walton’s gems, Drew Blake. Hits the first guy he faces then Serves up a bp fastball for a grand slam.
