American Healthcare continues to go backward

C'mon Cassidy, you know what you are getting with her.

The easy follow-up would be, ok, which children would you expect the Individual doctors to leave unimmunized and which would you recommend immunization?
“I’m supportive of vaccination. I do believe that each patient, mother, parent needs to have a conversation with their pediatrician about any medication they’re putting in their body and their children’s bodies,” Means said.

I've said many times in this forum and the old site that as a pharmacist I would never tell a parent that they were incorrect to be concerned about adverse effects of any medication that they are giving their child, including vaccines. Here she gives a reasonable answer. But it is incomplete. The risks of adverse effects always have to be weighed against the benefits of the diseases the vaccines are preventing. Here she gives the rest of the answer:

When asked Wednesday if she’d recommend the measles vaccine to parents, Means said, “I believe vaccines save lives. I believe that vaccines are a key part of any infectious disease public health strategy.”

But then: She also refused to deny unfounded links between autism and vaccines, telling lawmakers, “science is never settled.”

Except when it's not science in the first place, but fraud. Oy.
