There is absolutely no serious evidence that vaccines cause autism. None. Zip. Zero. Zilch. There is no evidence that that adjuvants in vaccines cause autism. Thimerosal use has declined steadily to the point that there is almost no thimerosal used anymore. If there were a close causal link with thimerosal then autism would have declined also. Now they have latched onto another bogeyman, aluminum. The same thing will happen. There is no evidence that the sequence of vaccines or the number of vaccines given together cause autism. There is no evidence that ANYTHING causes autism. There has never been a causal link to autism ever found and IMHO there never will be. It is a neurodevelopmental disorder. It is difficult for people to wrap their minds around what that means, especially for parents of children with spectrum disorders. They want there to be a cause and they want there to be a cure.
The vaccines and autism has been proven fraudulent. It was started in 1998 by Wakefield. His paper has since been debunked and he has been disgraced, but it has persisted because people want it to be true, they want there to be a cause and if there is a cause there might be a cure.
I've said this many times before, as a pharmacist I would never tell a parent not to be concerned about the potential adverse effects of any medication they give their child, including vaccines. But only considering the adverse effects without considering the potential harm of the diseases we are vaccinating against is only considering half of the equation. These are deadly diseases we are vaccinating against and that part of the equation has been forgotten. During one measles epidemic pre-vaccine in the United States as many as 1 in 7 children died, entire families would be wiped out. Measles is a deadly disease. Look at the annual pre-vaccine morbidity, half a million per year, and that is without an epidemic.

Yeah… I understand parents wanting, needing there to be a cause because that holds out hope for a cure. What gets me are people who ought to know better who perpetuate this.
Vaccine makers will eventually respond like they did with thimerosal even though there is no evidence. And as aluminum adjuvant decreases the prevalence of autism won’t change… and another bogeyman will appear.
Gawd, I hate RFK Jr even more than I hate Trump.

To be clear Im 100% for things that improve the safety and nutritional value of our food supply. It just seems like a lot of mixed messages from the administration on their commitment to this issue.
I'm starting to think that RFK Jr is simply a useful plant by the Trump Admin.
They get all the "wellness" and "MAHA" people on their side as RKF Jr attacks stuff they don't give a crap about like vaccines and food dyes. Meanwhile, they can get the real anti-environmental/anti-health stuff through with no issues because the MAHA movement isn't going to say a thing while they think they are "winning."
EPA just approved new ‘forever chemical’ pesticides for use on food
Critics warn the EPA’s approvals of new PFAS pesticides could expose more Americans to “forever chemicals” through their food.The Environmental Protection Agency is moving forward with approvals for pesticides containing “forever chemicals” as an active ingredient, dismissing concerns about health and environmental impacts raised by some scientists and activists.
This month, the agency approved two new pesticides that meet the internationally recognized definition for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known as PFAS or fluorinated substances, and has announced plans for four additional approvals. The authorized pesticides, cyclobutrifluram and isocycloseram, which was approved Thursday, will be used on vegetables such as romaine lettuce, broccoli and potatoes.
The agency also announced plans to relax a rule requiring companies to report all products containing PFAS and has proposed weakening drinking water standards for the chemicals.
“Many fluorinated compounds registered or proposed for U.S. pesticidal use in recent years offer unique benefits for farmers, users, and the public,” EPA spokeswoman Brigit Hirsch said in a statement.
Scientists and watchdog groups caution that much remains unknown about the health and environmental effects of fluorinated pesticides. PFAS have been linked to several kinds of cancer, birth defects, and damage to the liver and immune system, among other health problems.
The EPA approved at least one fluorinated pesticide during President Joe Biden’s administration, according to Hirsch. But beyond that, such applications were deprioritized under the Biden administration because of concerns about potential accumulation in the body and persistence in the environment, according to two former EPA officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. Worries about irreversible harm led to the more critical approach, one former official said.
“We made a deliberate decision to spend resources on other pesticides because of the PFAS concerns,” said the other former official.
Hirsch said criticisms of the approval of fluorinated pesticides was “just another example of partisan organizations pedaling mistruths.”
“EPA has registered dozens of pesticides with fluorinated compounds spanning both Republican and Democratic administrations,” Hirsch said.
Manojit Basu, vice president of science policy and regulatory affairs at CropLife America, a group representing pesticide companies, praised the EPA’s commitment to “gold standard science.”
“EPA’s scientifically rigorous and transparent evaluation process for pesticides provides America’s farmers with access to innovative tools essential to delivering an affordable, abundant, and healthy food supply,” Basu said in a statement.
An estimated 2.5 million pounds of pesticides containing forever chemicals are sprayed on California cropland annually, according to an Environmental Working Group analysis of state data released this week. The advocacy group found that between 2018 and 2023, nearly 15 million pounds of PFAS pesticides, from 52 fluorinated ingredients, were sprayed across the state on crops such as almonds, pistachios, tomatoes and grapes.
“We are creating new pathways for more PFAS to get into the environment when we already have so much,” said Melanie Benesh, vice president of government affairs at EWG. “We’re already inundated with PFAS.”

A Louisiana health official who ordered his health department to stop promoting mass vaccinations this past winter during a surge in influenza cases has been tapped to serve as the new number two leader at the CDC.
Abraham said he regularly sees patients injured by coronavirus vaccines and alleged adverse reactions were being covered up, NPR reported. He has also supported research into an extensively debunked connection between vaccines and autism.
I only very rarely see someone that claims a COVID vaccine injury. And many of those are somewhat dubious.
What I see a lot of is people that say they know somebody that had a vaccine injury. I'm not sure where all the vaccine injured go to get their care. I guess they go to the former Louisiana Surgeon General and new CDC Deputy.
I know a lot of people who know a lot of people who claim to have had a vaccine injury. But it is invariably “I got the shot and then something bad happened.” Such as I got the shot and then was hospitalized for DKA. “How long had your diabetes been under good control?” “Oh, it had never really been under good control.” “Well Okie doke.”
