Mother Jones = Newsmax
I almost put a disclaimer on it because Mother Jones. I tend to try to stray from them and Newsmax because they are left and right extreme, but then peddling this was too far out to ignoreMother Jones = Newsmax
That article is propaganda crap.
I'm not a fan of most of the changes at HHS/FDA, but they are absolutely right on this. Black box warning overuse harms doctors and patients probably to the benefit of trial lawyers.
If you want to hear what he said and not a BS smear, watch the video at this link. He talked about nuance and individual decisions. That article is BS and exactly what is wrong with our country, just on the liberal side instead of the conservative side this time.
You can also lower your healthcare costs by dying.Next time someone gets cancer or has a heart attack Ill ask them if they knew about this little secret.

Had a discussion with some Pentecostal pastors once about death and dying. There is a serious misunderstanding of death and disease in lay culture. People don’t “just die.” All death is an expression of disease. Even “dying of old age” is an accumulation of disease through one’s lifetime until the body simply cannot bear it anymore.Id prefer to avoid that outcome if at all possible. I guess one good way to delay death is to simply not get sick.
Oz is just another lunatic in a long line of other lunatics appointed by lunatic tRump.
I don't like him at all, but what he said is true unless taken out of context.
I guess even a perpetual conman might use truth occasionally to deflect or enhance a point. Don’t get sick. Eat healthy if you can afford too. Especially with the outrageous increases coming in insurance soon. Don’t linger before you die. Do your part to Make America Healthy Again.I don't like him at all, but what he said is true unless taken out of context.
Would anyone argue that we would not see a drop in health care costs if people focused on being healthier? Obviously, there are conditions that people get that are not able to be fixed or controlled with healthier living. But, many are. I'm just not understanding why what he said is controversial?
Fighting vaccines. Fighting rigorous science. That stuff our government is doing is way dumb. But, he clearly has the science on his side with that statement. If more Americans chose just to make healthier food choices and exercised, we would have a massive decrease in disease and therefore health costs.

Knowing what I know about insurance companies, I absolutely would argue that insurance premiums wouldn't come down even if people focused on being healthier.I don't like him at all, but what he said is true unless taken out of context.

What he said IS true. The question is, how? What is the administration doing to actually promote that?I don't like him at all, but what he said is true unless taken out of context.

Total health care costs? Sure.
Insurance premiums (which is what Oz said)? I wholly doubt we'd see a decrease in premiums. There would just be more profit-taking by insurance.
