Depends on which conference you are referring to. rivalries are good but i've never met an osu fan who cares as much about wvu, kansas, baylor, tcu etc as much as they care about beating OU, they still talk about the last time they beat OU despite it having been several years ago. You have a personal hatred for me, a stranger you've never met, all because I went to, and root for a school that you hate. That's the good stuff though, hate is good, let it flow through you.

I'm just here to talk about the joys of having a rivalry game you care more about and look forward to more than any other game on the schedule

That’s what you think. If we went 11-1 in the regular season, the powers that be (ESPN, SEC and B1G) would find a way to keep us out of the top 4 and a bye.

Ah but playing a rival you hate, that game has juice to the fans regardless of the circumstances, ooc, or otherwise. you want to beat tech for strategic reasons, for position in the standings. you want to beat OU because you mother f&3838ing hate them

That number represented the duration of time that had past since ou had last beaten OSU on the football field. So while you still struggle to make sense of whatever stupid argument you're trying to make, rest assured knowing that it has nothing to do with the post you're responding to, champ.

And that doesn't prove anything other than my original thesis: OSU fans really only bring ou up in one of two scenarios. This is the second scenario which I posted. Thanks for affirming.

Doubt all you want but for me, an OSU fan, ou is an afterthought now. It's all about championships, conference and national. So, the only time ou would matter to me is if they were a playoff opponent.

If osu was the only big 12 team with a 11-1 record, then they'd have a really good chance at a top 4 and a bye. but you dont want that, you want to be #5, it's way better for a number of reasons

Man, that really sucks for you. I don't mean that sarcastically, i mean that's super unfortunate, You are missing out on the single greatest aspect of college ball, having a rival to hate. I have like 3 teams i hate, and man it's fun to hate watch, to see them lose, and it's more fun to play against them. the players feel it too, they love playing in rivalry games.


I know osu sucked last year, but I bet if that final home game was against OU instead of iowa state, they'd still have had more than 35k in attendance. It's pretty much a guaranteed sell out in most cases

I dont see it that way at all, osu is a rival, and so is texas. Not many schools get to have two. I'd want to play osu again and again and again, regardless of the outcome, same with texas.
