2024 Presidential Election

No, Joe Biden 46th President of the United States of America. All things are not even close to being even. Trump owns lies, few can compete.
That’s a three Pinocchio statement right there (waiting on inane insult)

I was talking to an older gentleman today about the economy and he stated how he hated how he the prices keep going up on everything. The conversation veered to politics. He said we need to replace Biden. Then he said, and I kid you not - "well Obama running the country anyway." I replied , "Oh now, come on". To which he replied, "No, it's the truth!" This man has ran a successful business for 25+ years and has several full time employees. I can't even begin to understand how people believe/spread such nonsense.

Have you heard Joe speak lately? We better hope someone else is doing something

He probably listens to far-right conspiracy theory nuts, like Alex Jones, and takes them seriously, rather than as jokes.

Second R primary debate. Honestly I was only half watching but from my observations it was a terribly run debate. Once you allow one person to talk over someone else it’s a free for all with everyone doing it. Scott came out assertive compared to last time, had to have made his supporters happy. No one came out openly attacking Trump, DeSantis and Christie had small barbs about him not showing up, but that was it. No one can risk alienating the hard core Trump base at this point in case he’s out of the race for some reason, they’ll be desperate to try and pick up his pieces. IMO Nikki Haley “won” the night, she’s a really intelligent scrapper and not afraid to mix it up. De Santis and Pence just faded into the background. Ramaswami must have had some lessons, his “I know more than the teacher”attitude was greatly toned down. He’s sharp and seems to have some good ideas but let’s be honest, with our voting demographic there’s no way that a guy with that last name has a chance at being elected in 2024. Doug Burgam was a non entity, I was barely aware of who he was and had forgotten he was still running. If I had to choose a ticked based on who was on the stage last night it would be Haley/Scott or the other way around.

In other news Trump visited a non-union shop to discuss unions. I was under the impression he was addressing the UAW, but it sure seemed like that crowd was full of his regular shills.

Post birth abortions :(:(:(:(:(:(
do people actually believe this nonsense??
The abortion debate is so stupid. The vast majority of late-term abortions are wanted babies but either the baby isn't going to be viable or the mother is at extreme risk of death due to some mitigating factor. A random 17-year-old isn't waiting till month 8 or 9 to abort a baby. Denying those resources to people who legitimately need them for medical reasons is dumb. You can have a moral disagreement about it but are laws aren't Christian laws. We shouldn't be basing policy on a document that is over 2000 years old.
