Completely agree. We had talent, which is what makes the coaching performance so inexcusable. Who knows how the season would've played out if Hejny had stayed healthy, but his injury was probably a blessing in disguise (as crass as that sounds- I hope he is back to 100% and plays well at CSU)...

If we lose to Arizona State after they lost their starting QB, backup QB, starting RB, and WR1, then I'll lose a lot of optimism from the Eric Morris hire. They won't be a bad team, but with this at the tail end of the season and our team having time to gel, then we should win this game.

I have cautious optimism. I think 8-4 is very doable, but any better is going to be contingent on our defense. However, I'm concerned about HCEM's record in big games. He didn't beat a single ranked team at UNT and the loses were pretty bad. Hopefully that's not a pattern, but we'll see.

Honestly that's a pretty favorable schedule. It'll be a good opportunity to ease a new coaching staff and team into cohesion.
