We are in the 2nd half of the term, so I thought it might be fun to do a power ranking thread. Where do you see the pokes and the Big 12 Competition and why?

1. ou - for now
2. Texas - on thin ice after the refs handed them the game.
3. K State - really are finding their rhythm with Aver Johnson splitting snaps.
4. Pokes - great win and have the opportunity to jump up in the next couple of weeks.
5. ISU - they are playing well, but im not sure the teams they have beat are that good.
6. Kansas - should be a great matchup against ou this weekend.
7. BYU - solid win over Texas Tech at home where they dominated.
8. WVU - their defense is slipping with injuries and their offense is not good enough to compensate.
9. Baylor - barely beat cinci on the road
10. Texas Tech - injuries and poor coaching have sunk their season. So much for winning the off season.
11. UCF - still searching for their first conference win, but are showing signs of life.
12. Houston - seem to be improving the last two games. May be a tougher out the last month of the season.
13. TCU - yikes. Dykes is a whiner and his team suffers from the same lack of leadership. They may be the worst team in the conference.
14. Cincinnati - dumpster fire territory. It will be a few seasons before they are competitive.

1. Oklahoma - Sitting in the drivers seat at the moment.

2. Texas - Ewers sprained ac joint. How will UT respond?

3. Oklahoma State - 3 straight wins as an underdog. Pokes favored against the bearcats.

4. Iowa State - Good start to league play...schedule is about to ramp up.

5. Kansas State - Dominated the B12CCG rematch against TCU.

6. Kansas - Coming off a bye week. KU will welcome ou to Lawrence.

7. BYU - Cougs got their first newcomer win against the red raiders. UT up next.

8. West Virginia - Started the year strong...now 2 back to back L's.

9. Texas Tech - Probably the biggest disappointment in the league so far.

10. UCF - Showed some fight in Norman...but still winless in Big 12 play.

11. Baylor - Got the win against Cincy...but still have issues on both sides of the ball.

12. TCU - Dominated by KSU...Bye week for the frogs.

13. Houston - Took UT to the wire...and has looked improved over the last few weeks.

14. Cincinnati - Tough sledding for the bearcats. Good defensive front..but still 0-4 in Big 12 competition.

I watched the end of the KSt-TCU game and down 41-3 Whiny was calling timeouts w the clock under 30 seconds trying to score. After the 2nd to one of their TEs went down w what looked like a serious knee injury. Felt bad for the kid.

"Whiny" - did you mean to say "Screamie"? His blood pressure must get off the charts.

Anyone else thinking JPR might be rethinking his transfer decision?
Certainly. Especially the last 3 weeks or so. He would have been a prime target in our offense, especially in light of the injuries and drop issues we have had. He was a good route runner and had good hands. Oh well. Maybe we will get Bruce IV back at some point.

I always felt like his dad Bucky Richardson, former Texas A&M QB, was trying to find THE BEST SITUATION TO SHOWCASE HIM TO THE NFL! He was not going to supplant Brennan Presley as the starter at the slot position, thus they went looking for the place that would promise him a starting position and to showcase him!
