I've been impressed with Indiana State's style of play. Great ball movement and fast in transition. I would be happy if we hired Shertz.
 
Supposedly Schertz has been discussed for the St Louis job, however Indiana State hasn’t been allowing or at least making interviews easy to do.

I would like to see us get Schertz or Lutz.

A full week until NIT semifinals. I can’t see them stopping him from interviewing.
 
Just throwing this out there as a tidbit. Another reason Sprinkle may have taken the Washington job. The #1 PG in next years class is currently committed to UW. That would help sway me if I was a candidate.

I am beginning to think that Shertz is our guy. Chad may have a verbal agreement with him to make the move as soon as his season is over. Maybe along with possibility of bringing "Cream" and some others from ISU with him. No way he would go to St. Louis over OSU. If this is the case, be prepared for another week of waiting! NIT championship is next Thursday. :eek::oops::eek:

No St. Louis is the job you take after you don't work out at OSU. Everyone knows this. Its like the OSU OC to Southern Mississippi HC pipeline.

I actually think the longer we wait the better the hire will be. I think that's a good indication it's a coach still coaching whether that be in the NIT or NCAA. I think if it was going to be Lutz, Drew, or Alford we would have an announcement by now.

I guess the alternative is our options aren't great and Chad is trying to vet and mull over which one of these second rate candidates would be the best option. If our options aren't great then I don't blame him for taking his time to think it through.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have HC John Lucas III. However, I'm not sure if he is interested coming back to college basketball. He's been involved with the NBA for a long time now. It seems like that's where he wants to be.
