I think Josh is an average coach at a college with MUCH more potential. Ten years is a long stint to deliver "meh". I agree the heat needs to turned up quickly and maybe think about life after Josh.

I find myself watching other Big12 games. The conference is exciting with the parity and talent and so many games are decided at the buzzer. Just fun to watch good basketball games from a neutral standpoint. I will come back around to MBB when a new coach revives them.

Agree! I find myself watching other B12 basketball games that are so exciting and come down to the last possession. The conference games are fun to watch from a neutral standpoint and excepting that I don't have a dog in the fight.

Chad W. has had "fundraising" roles in the past so addressing this buyout would be a perfect project for him to apply those skills.

I think the right coach can win anywhere, and OSU has pretty good resources and fan support. Also, weak basketball programs can be turned around pretty quickly compared to football. Often positive results can be seen in the second year. I will throw the name out there that others have mentioned...

Meanwhile, last night K-State hosted this same team (C-State) with over 9k fans showing up. And Baylor hosted Cornell in front of 7500 fans. I can't put my finger on it but maybe it's just that Wednesdays are bad days to play basketball games?

I would rather risk losing a potentially good coach than lock an "unproven" coach into a longer-term contract. I hope Weiberg wasn't the driver of the contract, as some on here have posted. Watching OSU basketball is painful during this time as the conference is so competitive and getting better...

I totally agree with your take on the B1G. I am always for whoever is playing against them. I think another part of the reason the conference gets such a large payout is because their alumni bases are huge and on a per capita basis pretty well off. The average enrollment per school is over...
