Cowgirls win 4-1, never should have been that close

But a 4-0 week, Crandall was strong and a few hitters are starting to produce

OSU is 33-17 and 13-9 in league play, will finish 4th or 5th

Cowgirls are #4 seed and will play #5 seed ASU on Thursday at 11A. Winner will likely get Tech on Friday.
I know ifs and buts…but if the team the last 2 weeks plays Houston a complete series that’s 2 more. You also have to think we win 1 more against Baylor and Iowa St. That ties us for 1st.

They are not that far off. Crandall appears back from injury. That’s a solid 1-2. Better than anyone else in the league.

Have to wonder do you go Crandall against ASU and save Ruby for Taco Tech?

They are definitely not that far off which is why this season has been so frustrating. Crandall's emergence has been huge and gives us a little hope for postseason. I still don't know if there's enough players that can be trusted to get the big hits when they are needed. Even today so there were so many empty at bats. BUT, you can see Delgadillo starting to draw walks instead of bunting herself out, Hasler can now provide power, Timm is kind of back, and Rosie is a superstar. But beyond that, everyone is a wild card.

The RPI is around 20, so the only chance to host would be to win the tournament, and even that isn't a guarantee. But 3 good RPI wins would give you a chance.

“We showed signs of the offense kind of waking up,” Gajewski said. “Kinda disappointed in the way we finished the game here today with some lethargic last three innings.

“We gotta be killers in this thing, because the teams we’re gonna be matching up with in this thing, that’s what they are.”
