US continues to go backward...

Do you think a misdemeanor justifies what ICE is doing in Minnesota? Or is this just a super lame attempt at a gotcha?

Key Characteristics of Misdemeanors:
  • Criminal Offense: It's a violation of criminal law, meaning a prosecutor must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
  • Lesser Severity: More serious than minor infractions (like jaywalking) but less severe than felonies (like murder or burglary).
  • Punishments: Usually involve jail time in a county jail (under a year), significant fines, probation, or community service.
  • Examples: Common examples include disorderly conduct, trespassing, first-time DUI, and minor vandalism
"Lame attempt at gotcha". Yes, but you are asking the wrong person that question. The two failed gotcha attempts were Don Lemon's.

Don Lemon posted the above on his own social media thinking he was correct. This was just two-days after he posted the video of himself and others storming into a church service thinking that was his right. And posting that video of Lemon lecturing the pastor it was Lemon's 1st amendment right to be in the church during the service.

It is funny, but also sad, that we have a former talk-show host of a major news network with such an incredible misunderstanding of something that middle school government students would comprehend.

Haha! Well just off the top oh my head, all of them.
No specifically what position have I taken that says liberal.

I am not running from any of my beliefs, but other than having a great disdain for Trump and MAGA what says I’m a liberal. And for the record I don’t think being liberal s a bad thing just like being conservative isn’t.

No, but I think this does.

Let's just go with your most recent position about my post where I added a picture of two people from completely different sides of the aisle looking deeply saddened by the extremist chaos. This is what you instantly took from it.

Sure if you think straight white married Americans are the gatekeepers of heaven and people with gage earrings and dyed hair are going to burn in hell.

No, but I think this does.
Two guys?

Two guys that have had deportation orders for years, one more than a decade, are worth the harm to others, millions of dollars of taxpayer money, and poor relations between a state and the federal government?

No. Just no.

Fact is, there are far more criminal aliens in Texas. Far more in Florida. But, our government is not acting in a logical way. It is under the spell of a vindictive POS. So, while actions like this in Texas could lead to hundreds more actual criminals off the street, that isn't where it happens.

Fact is, Texas and Florida aren't releasing criminal immigrants back to the street when they have an ICE hold on them. Minnesota is.

Tell me exactly what you think will happen if we continue to have "illegals" in this country. What, specifically, are the ramifications of Biden totally opening the border? How does it make YOUR life worse day to day?

Is violent crime worse when done by a foreigner in your view? Once we get rid of all of them, do you think violent crime will plummet? For every crime you post that a brown illegal has done, I can post 10 that a white American born citizen has done.

I know you're terrified of "illegals" and think they are ruining our country. I'm honestly trying to get to the bottom of why, other than conservative leaders telling you to be afraid for your whole life.

So what? There are still far more in Texas for them to get. Like many multiples. Would you fish in a pond with a million fish or a pond with 10,000 fish, but they add 100 per day?

Two? C’mon. It is certainly a legitimate stance for you to hold if you don’t like what ICE is doing.
But being intentionally naive only works on those not paying attention. There have been thousands of arrests by ICE in Minnesota. Yes, the majority of arrests are those with no criminal record or minor crimes. But over 200 arrests in MN have been those with violent crimes, sex crimes, and gang affiliations.

Why is that sad?

Why would anyone care about a former talk-show host making an error about the classification of crimes when the CURRENT president is making claims like he will lower drug prices 1000% or sending embarrassing silly and grammar error-filled letters to foreign leaders. The current DOJ is in contempt of congress about documents on a pedophile. And we are vaguely threatening war with NATO.

I'm super curious how you prioritized that as your one concern worthy of going on a political board today. With what is currently going on in the country, how did you think, "Wow, someone MUST address this Don Lemon ex-talk show host error issue."

This justification is...wild.

You replied to the wrong post. He picked out those two guys as the reason. Not me. Ask him why that was his stance.
In fact, speaking of intentionally naive, you were intentionally naive of the very post you quoted where I explained where they could go to arrest more actual criminals. They could do 200 a day in the right areas. There is no data that Minneapolis is the place burdened by immigrant crime. We both know it. Trump is being a vindictive POS, not the least bit surprising that you are defending it in your typical way.

And, don't bother with the "I'm not defending it...." We already know.

I know Trump went to MN for political purposes. Not sure why you think that is some great argument.

I know there are no reasons for ICE to be wearing masks.

I also know Frey and Walz are making policy decision and hampering law enforcement for political purposes.

If you think I am defending anything you are way too far to an ideological side. I understand what ICE is attempting to do and understand why some are concerned. Van Jones is correct.

Let’s not forget that being in the country “illegally”, in many cases, isn’t even a misdemeanor….it’s a “civil violation”.

About 45% of the “illegal immigrants” entered legally, but overstayed. That is a civil violation…not a misdemeanor.

No, but I think this does.
I think that one does too.

If only Donny, and ICE Barbie were telling the truth and were focused on and actually deporting “the worst of the worst” like these people.

We all know that’s not what’s happening right now.
