Sort of like if I ate a grape while shopping in a grocery store and you walked out of Best Buy with an iPhone saying “Both are theft so the same.”

“No” political gain. I doubt it. But, nobody has been pardoned for paying a huge contribution from jail until Trump. Nobody has even come close to the rate of pardons.

Curious, why would a failure by the Minnesota governor be big news to you, when you have ignored what the federal government is doing (at least by posts) for a long time?

This goes far beyond partisan politics. I genuinely don’t care about Tim Walz— if he made serious mistakes in Minnesota, he should be voted out, and if he committed crimes, he should be held accountable. The same standard should apply to the president and the federal government, which matter even more.

What concerns me is that some people seem indifferent to what’s happening at the federal level. If the ethical and legal overreach we’re seeing doesn’t worry you, it’s worth revisiting some history. Our republic is not immune to ending like all have before when people want power.

If that sounds exaggerated, I’d really encourage you to look more closely at what’s going on. Step back from the idea of “picking a side” and evaluate the actions objectively. Ask yourself honestly: would you be comfortable with Trump's actions if Obama had done it?

Sorry man, I got tired of typing and recalling from memory. So I’ll just politely ask on the scale of all this sh!+, where does fraud increase in a state that ranks 22nd in population and 40th in gdp growth fit or occupy give a rip space?

Should I care more about their fraud than the fact our state ranks near the bottom 10 in all meaningful good stats and top 10 in nearly all debauchery/sin/crime stats while having an R super majority and we are actually telling people to “hold my beer” as we come up w ideas to make our dumb@$$es even worse?

The closest I am aware of is Clinton and Marc Rich. But, that was Clinton’s final day, he later said he made a bad decision and regretted it, and he received far more flack about that one than Trump has about many that have been far worse.

I think the problem I have is that corruption is bad. We should all agree that calling out corruption is not a partisan activity. Doesn’t matter who commits it they should go through a fair legal process and if found guilty or liable then suffer the appropriate consequences. This seems to be standard for every poster left posting in these threads. I haven’t seen one post saying “hold back the Epstein files” bc Clinton could be in there. I haven’t seen o e post saying Hunter shouldn’t face his consequences.

What I have seen is people (IMO) rightfully calling out what is being done on a daily basis to make our country worse and weak.

As steross said, if corruption happened in Minnesota expose it, prosecute it and hold those responsible accountable. It is important.

But the allegations are coming from a man who has a history of seeing/reading/hearing conspiracies and blasting outright lies or partial truths.

To me the fact that our Constitution is being shredded on a daily basis is way more important and alarming than what is happening in Minnesota.
