Curious, why would a failure by the Minnesota governor be big news to you, when you have ignored what the federal government is doing (at least by posts) for a long time?
This goes far beyond partisan politics. I genuinely don’t care about Tim Walz— if he made serious mistakes in Minnesota, he should be voted out, and if he committed crimes, he should be held accountable. The same standard should apply to the president and the federal government, which matter even more.
What concerns me is that some people seem indifferent to what’s happening at the federal level. If the ethical and legal overreach we’re seeing doesn’t worry you, it’s worth revisiting some history. Our republic is not immune to ending like all have before when people want power.
If that sounds exaggerated, I’d really encourage you to look more closely at what’s going on. Step back from the idea of “picking a side” and evaluate the actions objectively. Ask yourself honestly: would you be comfortable with Trump's actions if Obama had done it?

That's what it is. I don't have a NYT sub so I didn't read the article and when I tried to Google it nothing really came up.
Yeah, the food aid thing goes back to COVID I think. Im guessing its not much of anything related directly to the governor because if it were the people around where I live would be talking about it nonstop. Not a good deal and some heads should roll but as it relates to Walz its on the level of Republicans trying to knock his service in the National Guard for when he chose to retire.
And the question was asked before, but why do you care about what's going on in a state that has no bearing on your life? I don't think he has presidential aspirations (and let's be honest, if we wasn't a former VP candidate you couldn't pick him out of a lineup) so what's your concern here? Because if you are worried about government waste and corruption you should probably look a little higher on the electoral totem poll.
