Yeah that's my other thought there. This administration is so riddled with incompetence that they cant get out of their own way.

As for Trump and your comment about "how quickly both Social Media and Legacy Media would be the knee for him"... you're telling me that they didn't do that for the left for YEARS? Twitter and Facebook censoring Hunter Biden stories, banning people for sharing Hillary and Hunter memes and censoring Covid-19 posts? Media telling people things like JD Vance breaking Vatican rules inside the Sistine Chapel, the countless "face checks" CNN/MSNBC did that were completely false during the debates, etc.? We could go on and on. Let's not act like Social Media/News are suddenly conforming to who's in the White House.

Every campus he visited there was some protest or petition. There has been several 'change.org' pages made over the years... including one for his visit to Utah Valley (it's been since re-worded).

It may not be new, but it was wrong then and wrong now. Biden Administration should not have pressured Google and Twitter. Carr and Trump threatening ABC over a comment by Kimmel is also incredibly wrong.
Our Government should have very little control over speech in the media. This is literally one of the major foundations of our country. Comments derogatory towards the current administration in no way reach the level for the government to step in and stifle speech.
If Trump wants to show his thin-skin and complain about Kimmel or make fun of him…fine. But to threaten to utilize the power of his office to stop or curtail what Kimmel says …very very bad.
This is the first time an administration threatened to pull a broadcasting license for an entire organization if an employee was not fired. It has not happened before. This is a new milestone on the road to authoritarianism and we are well down the road at this point. Almost to the destination.

We are not on our way to a dictatorship / authoritarianism. We are in it, 100%. The censorship of Kimmel (while allowing Kilmeade to have a job after calling for the execution of homeless) is it. I suppose the only thing left for them to control is the internet, and they are well on the way with that too.
It's honestly scary how quickly all of this is happening after Kirks death. Almost like it was coordinated and planned. Almost.
I don't know what to do at this point because we have about 30% of the country actively cheering this on, not realizing how bad it's about to get for everybody. Protests don't seem to work anymore. So maybe a general strike?
