US continues to go backward...

We don't even know what the final death roll is yet !!! What the hell!! And this moron is out here claiming it would be higher because DEI ???

Charlie Kirk says the high death toll from the Texas flooding tragedy was because of DEI:

“The death toll likely would not have been as high if it wasn't for DEI.”

So what does blaming it on DEI even mean? That there weren't enough white males working for the Austin, TX area NWS? This is because they were biased against them in favor of hiring women and non-whites not as well qualified? The far right idiots along with the conspiracy theory fanatics quite seldom present any credible evidence to back up their nonsense.

My kids, and therefore my grandkids, are Cherokee.
Then they should know that Chuck Hoskins, while correct in this instance, is as big a crook as Trump. Maybe bigger. The most recent tribal election was so obviously rigged that he may have to step down.

I never justified it. Not once. Nobody here is justifying it.

You know what the tragedy is? Children have lost their lives because the adults failed them miserably. Across the board.

This is no different than Rob rushing to post stories about people getting hurt or killed by immigrants. Yet I don't see you lambasting him for politicizing deaths.
So you're comparing a natural disaster to allowing criminals to freely cross our border?

How very brilliant. 👏

You're right, we're doomed. Just give up now and move to South Africa. SMMFH

I'm old enough to remember a couple of months ago when the State of Texas shelled out $870,000 for buoys and razor wire in River at the border and an additional $1 million in court cost defending it.

I'm old enough to remember that FEMA offered to Pay to install the same Sirens in that same river in 2016 and the State of Texas denied the request to have it done

I'm old enough to remember that the Texas Legislature rejected request to put sirens along that same river for 8 CONSECUTIVE Years.

The Legislation and Leadership of Texas Failed these People. From the City, the County and the State Level. They didn't listen to repeated and consistent request from these residents in this area and the need they were trying to convince their elected officials was a dire need.

Texas Lt. Governor calls on state to buy flood sirens

After horrific flooding took the lives of more than 100 people in Texas, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says the state will install sirens along parts of the Guadalupe River by next summer. Former Kerr County Commissioner Tom Moser joins Chris Jansing to explain the difference sirens could have made in warning people of the oncoming floods and the possible “nuisance” some people say they can cause

If Arpineh Masihi could vote, she would have cast her ballot for Donald Trump. She's a devout supporter of the US president – even now that she's locked up as an illegal immigrant. (you can´t make this $h!t up)
...
Yet her family says they have faith that Arpineh will be released, and believe that only hardened, dangerous criminals will actually be deported.

"I don't blame Trump, I blame Biden," Arthur says. "It's his doing for open borders, but I believe in the system and all the good people will be released and the ones that are bad will be sent back." (blames Biden...WTF?!)
...
Arpineh was then taken to a federal building in downtown Los Angeles, a centre used by ICE to process those arrested in the ongoing raids across the region. The building became the centre of sometimes violent anti-ICE protests that riled Los Angeles for weeks.

She says those being held at the building "were treated like animals".

Arpineh told the BBC she was held in a freezing, brightly lit room with 28 other women for three days. They survived on snacks and one bottle of water a day, she says, the women huddling together for warmth, and sleeping on the floor. (damn Biden...)
...
She and her husband say they still have faith in the Trump administration and believe that she will be released.

"I'm not deportable to any country," Arpineh told the BBC from the detention facility. (yes you are)

But that hasn't stopped immigration officials in the past. In February, a group of Iranian Christians who had just crossed the border from Mexico were deported - but to Panama, not Iran.
...
"I have four citizen children. I own a business. I own a property. I own cars," Arpineh says. "I haven't done anything wrong in so many years." (welcome to MAGA America...)

So, where are the people griping about making this tragedy political?
"Don't politicize it" is MAGA speak for "We effed up, but don't talk about it!".

There are going to be a LOT of deaths caused by MAGA and their policies. We need to politicize every single one of them. USAID, FEMA, Medicaid, planned parenthood, etc. Do not let them shirk it off. It's 100% their fault. And hopefully they will all be held accountable in some way, shape, or form for not just allowing it but gleefully encouraging it.

U.S. Congressman Backs Marjorie Taylor Greene Fearing "Overlord" Could Get Hands on Weather Manipulation Technology

U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has made her opinions regarding “weather manipulation” and “cloud seeding” known, once implying that the Biden administration could have altered weather patterns to redirect natural disasters toward geographical areas more populated by conservatives. (“Yes they can control the weather. It's ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can't be done,” Greene posted on X in 2024.)

Today on social media, Greene wrote: “I'm introducing legislation to stop weather modification and geoengineering. People have had enough of chemicals manipulating our weather. And the governments and the industries that profit from controlling it.”

Note: Greene’s claims have been rebutted in several articles, including one which reads: “While small scale ‘cloud seeding’ to create localized rain is possible, hurricanes and other large storms cannot be produced with modern technology.”

Greene’s fellow MAGA-aligned Christian colleague, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-GA), agrees with Greene. As seen below, on Real America’s Voice, Burchett said: “People say we’re conspiracy theorists, but you know you don’t patent a conspiracy theory. These things have been patented and proven they do it.”
Burchett added: “It’s a real thing. Weather manipulation is real but in the hands of our enemies or some overlord, I think it can be a very detrimental thing and I’m big on god and just letting him work his magic, not people trying to play god.”

DHS’s Fiery Rebuttal calling CNN Fake News on FEMA Response to Texas Floods Ends Up Validating CNN’s 72‑Hour Timeline

In a blistering X‑post, the Department of Homeland Security accused CNN of “activist journalism” for reporting that Secretary Kristi Noem’s cost‑control edict slowed FEMA’s response to the deadly Texas floods. DHS labeled the reporting a “FAKE NEWS LIE,” but ironically, the statement only reinforces the very 72‑hour delay CNN exposed.

CNN’s scoop, based on anonymous FEMA officials, reported that Noem imposed a strict rule—every FEMA contract or grant exceeding $100,000 now requires her personal sign‑off. The threshold, internal sources say, is “pennies” in typical disaster relief. The result? FEMA couldn’t pre‑position Urban Search and Rescue crews until Noem gave the green light — 72 hours after the flooding began.

DHS’s statement claimed its “robust, coordinated federal response” saved “over 900+ lives” and praised Noem for “working day and night” to approve frontline needs. That’s a standard political script—but the devil’s in the details: “within moments of the flooding,” DHS claimed deployments began. If that were true, FEMA could have bypassed the 72‑hour delay. But CNN’s sourced account says otherwise.

Here’s DHS’s strategic pivot: “All assets surged into unprecedented action… within moments”—a portrait of seamless federal agility. Yet, CNN and multiple local outlets — NBC affiliate News 4 San Antonio included — report that the deployment of elite USAR teams was held until Monday, more than three days after the flooding began.

The statement also emphasizes the Coast Guard rescuing 230 people. No one disputes that. But those river rescues by state, local, and Coast Guard teams happened as FEMA was hamstrung —waiting for Noem’s permission to move pre‑positioned federal search teams.

DHS insisted, “We were operating under guidance: lean forward… anticipate what the state needs.” That sounds plausible—until you juxtapose it with the actual delay reported. One FEMA insider told CNN, “That is not as clear of an intent for us at the moment.”

Worse, DHS’s framing of the approval threshold as fiscally prudent smacks of political cover. FEMA contracts during disasters routinely hit the hundreds of thousands—these are not trivial sums. Sources warned that the threshold “could severely disrupt the distribution of emergency funds during natural disasters.”

So DHS’s statement is effectively saying: “Yes, Noem slowed things down—but that’s good.” That line echoes the now‑familiar playbook of highlighting conservative oversight while accusing critics of overreach.

This episode reveals the broader tension within Trump‑Noem’s FEMA remix: an attempt to reshape FEMA into leaner, state‑centric operations, even amid a crisis, even when delay costs lives. DHS’s attempt to rebuke CNN instead confirms the core components of that story: cost‑control shock, 72‑hour delay, Noem’s hold on powers, FEMA’s reduced agility.

In the end, DHS’s over‑the‑top rebuttal underscores the power of CNN’s reporting. The statement reinforces — not refutes — the 72‑hour timeline. That leaves us with a rhetorical shell game: furious denials wrapped in the very narrative they aim to quash.

They first will have to find evidence that there is an actual culprit or company controlling or creating extreme weather events. If not, it might as well just be an imaginary monster or UFO alien high up in the sky pulling levers. Since Republicans believe climate change is a hoax, they sure aren't going to be willing to blame it on that. They want to punish and shut down the research parts of NOAA for believing in climate change.

How can you evangelize people with whom you do not speak or have any relationship.

I have a friend who pastors a small Pentecostal church out in the bayous of Louisiana. They work the Pride Parade every year. They do not preach. They serve coffee and donuts. If they are asked questions they answer them. But otherwise they simply chat and are friendly.

Baylor is why I will never attend another Baptist church and why I no longer identify as an Evangelical.

I will never step in another Baptist Church linked to the SBC. They have proven time and time again their Foundational Teachings are not based in Christ Teachings. They are based in Political Right Leaning beliefs they sell through a bastardized lens of Christianity . I 100% believe Paul was talking about these types of Christians when he wrote the following

In the Last Days, the Church Will Be Full of False Believers

For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God. They will maintain the outward appearance of religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these.

I'm saying you blame democrats whenever an immigrant commits a crime. I'm saying I blame MAGA when something happens that could have been prevented, but they gutted the systems in place for said prevention.

Every single mother that dies because she can't get a life saving abortion - MAGA's fault.
Every single person that dies around the world because of USAID cuts - MAGA's fault
Every single person that dies from a preventable disease because of vaccine misinformation - MAGA's fault
Every single person that dies from cancer that could have been treated, but research has been gutted - MAGA's fault
Every single person that dies from weather related incidents because NWS, NOAA, and FEMA resources have been gutted - MAGA's fault
Every single person that dies from contaminated food, air, and water because the FDA and EPA have been gutted - MAGA's fault
Every single person that dies on the job because of OSHA being gutted - MAGA's fault.
Every single death of a HUMAN BEING in ICE custody - MAGA's fault
Every single death in a concentration camp - MAGA's fault

EDIT: How could I forget:
Every single death from gutting Medicaid - MAGA's fault
Every single death (many of them children) related to gutting SNAP - MAGA's fault

So let's play the game you want to play. I'll accept (being the libtard I am) any deaths committed by "illegal aliens". You accept all the above deaths, and we'll balance the scales in a year.

The above is what you voted for. What, at the very least you turn a blind eye to. Or gleefully cheer on.

You're afraid of the wrong people. Turn off Fox for a week, and I promise the "illegals" will stop coming to murder and rape you.
