Day of Jan 6th:
Trump: "We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now ... We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. ... So go home. We love you, you're very special. ... I know how you feel. But go home and go home in peace."
After Jan 6th:
Trump called Babbitt “an innocent, wonderful, incredible woman” and described his supporters that day in glowing terms, claiming that there had been a “love fest between the Capitol police and the people that walked down to the Capitol.”
And the big differences between what excuses were made then and how January 6th has been excused:
Every single lawbreaker on Jan 6th pardoned or granted commutation of sentence by Trump....including convicted insurrectionists.
Reported $5 million lawsuit settlement to Babbit's estate.
A $100 million+ lawsuit by the Proud Boy insurrectionists. Stay tuned to see how much Trump manages to grift into their pockets like he did Babbit.
As for those violent rioters yesterday....tomorrow....during the George Floyd Riots....or any other criminals:
I advocate that the country investigate, arrest, charge, and convict all of them that you have sufficient proof to do so.
AND THEN MAYBE NOT PARDON THEM AT THE END.

“This is not what we voted for,” Garcia wrote in a post on the social platform X. “I have always supported Trump, @realDonaldTrump, through thick and thin. However, this is unacceptable and inhumane.”
So what exactly were they voting for? He didn't hide his immigration policy when he was campaigning.
