*More than half (54%) of people get news from networks like Facebook, X and YouTube
*Despite their popularity, online influencers and personalities were named as a major source of false or misleading information by almost half of people worldwide (47%)
*The report also stated that usage of X for news is "stable or increasing across many markets", with the biggest uplift in the US.
It added that since Elon Musk took over the network in 2022, "many more right-leaning people, notably young men, have flocked to the network, while some progressive audiences have left or are using it less frequently".
In the US, the proportion that self-identified as being on the right tripled after Musk's takeover.
In the UK, right-wing X audiences have almost doubled.
Rival networks like Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon are "making little impact globally, with reach of 2% or less for news", it stated.

LOL...I get my ´opinions/points of view from ride em...any story I read that interests me, I immediately (well, not always that fast) put that topic in the google machine and attempt to get different sources...
And the google machine knows just what religion you like.

mostly true...however, I have a maga friend who will occasionally ask my opinion on something I had not heard about, so sure enough, when I type it in my google machine, the first news story that pops up is from foxnews...so thereś that...

I use multiple devices (3) and browsers (2)
Keep searches separate on each machine and my Google machine shows me several different besides to the story
Use different Gmail accts on each browser
If u ever want to get a less filtered view of your search, try it with incognito mode on too
