Once in high school I hit a slow roller to third and was slow getting out of the box, which made me even slower than normal, and got thrown out at first by a couple steps. Going back to the dugout, the coach said to me from the 3rd base box, very loudly, “Son, I don’t mind you carrying that piano on your back, but you don’t have to stop and play it on the way to first.” I was so embarrassed and I caught hell in the dugout.

UCF pitcher has a 1.85 ERA, but a 1.48 WHIP. Walks a lot of hitters, but we aren’t patient enough. UCF has a really deep pitching staff. They have about 10 pitchers and six of those have started. UCF may be moving ahead of us in softball.
