Hope they can keep her out of the portal. She has come up big for us as a hitter in recent weeks.

Not sure why Meylan has been out there the last two innnings. Sending a message to the other two pitchers he has absolutely no faith in them. I’m sure they are demoralized at this point.

Other than their last outing they haven't really earned much faith. I think the hope was that we'd get a bigger lead, faster.

Would’ve thought that Meylan would get the night off but with our history with TU, they didn’t want to take any chances.
I feel for the other two pitchers but they put themselves in this situation especially Crandall!! Hopefully they can replicate what they did this weekend

Unfortunately you can't risk losing midweek games to bad mid major teams this late into the season if you want to host. Losing this game would almost erase all the good we have done over the last two weeks. Look at our baseball team. They were trending in the right direction then lost to ORU in the midweek and now everything is so uncertain.

I honestly think the plan for regional play is that Ruby will get the ball in every game. I think they could have given Downing more of a shot instead of pulling her so fastin games this year, but we're here now. Maybe she keeps building confidence this weekend.
Ruby did get a 10 day break in the middle of the season that she didn't get last year. Other than one hiccup with a few walks, she was as sharp as ever last night.
