Trump Jr 2028

I’ve talked about my parents being working class Democrats who built a mom and pop furniture store through a lot of hard work and left two sons in the furniture business and put two other sons through pharmacy school, and one who had a career in pharmacy academia. Yet the Dems have been taken over by screeching liberal white college educated women who openly despise people like my parents, and people like my parents have fled to the Republican Party because the Democrats despise them. It’s fked. And the Democrats can’t figure out why they’re losing the working class voters they’re screeching at.
I think the $ is figuring it out. Rep Jasmine Crockett has alluded to this very point and says behind the scenes $ is lining up behind a straight white male. Is that Newsom or Shapiro or maybe Kelly?

The Ds have run a white elite female and lost. They ran a black liberal female and lost. They ran the worst white male candidate since Dukakis and won.

The writing is there. Especially in 28. There is no one who captivates the Magastani’s like 47. Jr can’t. Vance can’t. And DeSantis can’t. If Ds line up behind a straight white male and run a center campaign. They win.

This means as much as they like AOC or Mayor Pete, run either of those two and lose for another 8 yrs.

This is sad, but true.

Less so re: AOC because she is quite a bit further left than I would prefer. Pete B is a capable intelligent fairly moderate left candidate with some good ideas who has been willing to go on the right wing media outlets and has done well there.

He's got no chance to be President in today's America because he's married to a man. He is a perfect example of "family values", IMO. His family just happens to be with his husband and their adopted children.

Hilary and Kamala were two of the most ungenuine people imaginable. Like you knew for a fact that they were acting like somebody they were not. I think a woman can win a presidential election. They just can't be fake.

And AOC isn't fake at all, but maybe she should be a little bit. #lol

3+ years is a long way away, but currently I think Shapiro is the wisest choice for the Dems. He gives them a big swing state and doesn’t have the baggage of a Newsom.
For GOP, a current VP obviously has an inside track (especially with the donor base), but DeSantis has strong appeal with traditional (non-MAGA) Republicans. His downside is Trump will want to claim he handed-pick his successor…and that will be Vance.

What woman on the political stage do you think is capable of winning a national election?

Vance was forced on Trump. He had no choice bc he needed Elon, Thiel and the other Palantir guy. That is their end game.

Shapiro has his own baggage, and it was the reason why he was not picked as VP last time around. Pass.

The Dems need to get away from current establishment candidates. They have bad policy positions and even worse political instincts.

I think two things happened in 2016:

First, Hillary assumed that she was going to be crowned and basically stopped campaigning. She was wrong.

Second, I think Democrats elected Trump in open primaries because they thought he would be easier to beat. I looked at the data from the 2016 primaries. Trump won the open primaries and Cruz won the closed primaries and caucuses. It was really close, and just enough for Trump to win the nomination. I think Democrats voted for Trump in open primaries because they thought he would be easy to beat. They were wrong. Any other Republican candidate would have lost to Hillary. Any other Republican candidate likely would have lost to Kamala. If not for covid there is no way that Biden beats him.
